After a long period of development, redesigns, and testing, Quillzyra’s store page has been approved, allowing the project to begin its “Coming Soon” phase on Steam.

Quillzyra is a fully local character studio for Windows. You can create your own characters or begin with one of the 19 official characters and develop conversations that retain memories, relationships, context, and continuity over time.


Everything runs locally. Your characters, conversations, memories, portraits, and worlds remain stored on your PC.

You will not need an additional third-party account, and your conversations will not be sent to cloud AI services.


• Create, edit, import, and export characters.

• Chat using three included local text models: Low, Medium, and High.

• Maintain separate conversations and persistent memories.

• Develop relationships that evolve through your interactions.

• Use real-world time or an independent narrative clock.

• Build a shared world with locations, routines, events, and a calendar.

• Receive character-initiated messages when the context supports them.

• Import your own portraits and manage local backups.

• Use the application in English or Spanish.


Local portrait generation will be available through a single optional Images DLC for systems with compatible NVIDIA hardware.

The complete chat experience and all three text models will be included with the base product.


There is still important work ahead before release:

• Testing the complete Steam installation across different computers.

• Improving conversational naturalness, dialects, and individual character voices.

• Continuing to refine memory, relationships, narrative time, and continuity.

• Expanding hardware recommendations and optimizing performance.

• Polishing the character creation and portrait management workflows.

• Incorporating changes and improvements suggested by the community throughout Early Access.

Features such as Steam Achievements, private statistics, and Steam Workshop support for sharing characters may also be explored in the future.

These features will only be enabled after they have been properly implemented and tested.
