Yes, it's similar to Squadron TD.
The history is:
- Lisk made Legion TD as a mod in Warcraft 3 in 2009. I was the lead playtester
- Players ported Legion TD in Warcraft 3 to Starcraft 2 in 2010 and named it Squadron TD
- Lisk and I started AutoAttack Games to build Legion TD 2
The core gameplay is the same or very similar to Squadron TD, but there are some different mechanics and of course different unit and ability designs. Most importantly though, the biggest difference is that Legion TD 2 is a standalone game with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from that:
- We do major updates every month, including balance changes, bug fixes, and new content
- Legion TD 2 has skill-based matchmaking, leaderboards, UI designed specifically for Legion TD 2, reconnecting, fully playable AI, special modes, events, tournaments with prize money, etc.

Well it initially had good balancing but now has terrible under the hood changes with every patch that completely bork the game and balance.
It was fun back in the days, becoming less and less.
