Stuck in subway

In the subway on the large power device with 'Dawtech' written on it, I am stuck.

At least a couple of the pieces seem to have only one way they can be arranged, and it seems quite straight forward, but there doesn't appear to be any way to get to the upper section of the immovable piece.

The laser just kills you if you come from the top or the left hand side. It seems like maybe the pneumatic cylinder is supposed to come further up to block the laser?

Same. I can't see whats happening, but you can't reach the top ladders. And in the other puzzel it seems you will always get killed by the laser. Perhaps the pad needed to go further up so you could jump over it? And on the left it seems there is something missing to go up the ladder at one point. Or perhaps the exits have been reversed that make it impossible to form a path

Ok, the right puzzle seems to be possible with the key blocking the laser. So how do you do the other one?

Ah, so the other puzzle isn't bugged either but hard to find the result if you mess it up. Here's the result:
