Unfair trade victoy condition
As a relativly new player, i feel like the trade victory condition is way too strong. If you compare this with other conditions like the wisdom one, it just seems way easier to get. At a game at which i went all in on the wisdom victory I wasnt able to get to half of the goal, whilst the enemy won by the trade victoy. This really makes the game boring and way too passive, since barely anything is happening until the game ends. If I am missing something here please let me know.
I am hoping that the devs can change this so other conditions become considerable.
Thanks in regards

It's really only OP on big maps/teams, on small-medium you just need to attack them since they won't have the gold for a big army. Even on big maps I'd rather go wisdom since it's safer with higher gold reserve and the military upgrades you'll have.

All in all on the big maps domination vic gets harder and trade/wisdom becomes more viable, either learn to play with it or just stick to small maps where matches are usually won by domination.

On big maps trade victory is extremely easy to rush. Victory conditions should be balanced based on the amount of players and the size of the map. I think the devs easily could tweak some numbers to make certain victory conditions harder to achive on larger maps.
It's probably the weakest vic considering how much gold you lose and the pittance of resources you get back from it. wisdom vic on the other hand rewards you with a bunch of useful techs.

Ofcourse acquiring techs can be helpful but that wont help the fact that the trade victory gives you the fast win. The wisdom one really cant keep up with it. Resources dont matter to much when getting a quick victory due to the trade path.

It feels like the only way to stop this from happening, is to go all in on attacking but this doesnt feel like a good decision in Northgard, since you will wreck most of your resources on doing so.

Trade is not OP at all. It is faster than a wisdom victory but also riskier as it requires a bigger investment. If you use the slowest trade route, it requires less gold, but takes more time than wisdom. To pull it off quickly, you need to invest an enormous amount of gold, leaving you very vulnerable to attack.

Setting yourself up for an attack is also very expensive though and also comes with a big set-back

Ok so things have changed, with the latest patch. Raven can consistently win a trade victory in 802, even with a dozen warband defending attacks. It's so stupid and boring. There are several ways to fix this. The easiest thing to do is immediately revert the latest change to raven regarding trade. Eliminate the free lighthouse and bonus 20% trade influence. Let them keep the +10% gold generation and +1 gold from lore, extra money is fine.

This will go a long way to making the game less insane. Most clans require going well into 803, like May or June, to win a trade victory. This is still fast but it gives the other players a chance to stop them with a spring 803 push. Reverting the changes to raven will force raven players to go into 803 to win.

Further down the road, though, the devs need to make more substantial changes to the game. As others have mentioned, map conditions should affect victory conditions. Larger maps should require more work. Just as fame needs more tiles on larger maps, wisdom victory should require more lore on larger maps and trade should require more influence. Also, world hostility should matter as well. Medium hostily northgard maps are not the same as extreme hostility ragnarok. The latter should require more work to win a trade/wisdom/fame victory.

So if 2000 influence points makes sense in a medium hostility 4 player Northgard map, perhaps it should be 3000 points for a 6 player extreme hostility Ragnarok map. In the meantime, ranked is broken and unplayable now, at least for the raven clan. The devs really need to do a better job in balancing their game.

Question? Trying to find out the true mechanics in this game yet so exactly how does one implement a trade?
Did find out that by clicking M, I was able to see which of the three military paths to follow.
What do I click or do to get trading?

You need to build a lighthouse on your harbor.
