Tips (Happiness)
Hello! I just started playing Northgard again and was hoping to find some help when it comes to properly managing happiness. It seems that no matter what I do by the end of the 2nd full year I'm almost always in negative happiness and can't get new villagers. Then I start losing food and the like due to unhappiness and just give up. Are there any tips and tricks I should be aware of or ways to do things?

Hover your cursor over the happiness icon at the top of the game window to see what it is they need and work to meeting that.
Each clan usually has a clan specific happiness booster. Study your clans traits and use them.

The main issue I have is the 'expected happiness' requirement that just seems to climb so quickly. I'll have good territory, the brewery, and throw feasts but I'm just not able to keep it up.

Always try to stay at least 2 steps ahead of the expected happiness. So, prepare to upgrade houses, build another brewery (and man it), capture more territory and build whatever clan specific happiness booster applies.
Happiness should be the easiest 'resource' to manage.

You can stop building houses if you're at say +2 happiness but max pop and not near a new source of happiness. Expected happiness rises when you get a new villager. If you cap the villagers you wont ever be unhappy.

Feasts only temporarily raise happiness by 2 so you aren't really helping happiness once the feast runs out.
