Improvised Carpentry Achievement

Any tips or tricks for the Improvised Carpentry achievement (win a game without ever building a woodcutter's lodge)? This is supposedly meant for Hound clan (?), so I start off with a Bearskin in the brawler arena to generate wood from souls, as well as a marketplace to purchase wood. But even when there are multiple tiles to be scouted for wood or plenty of foxes/wolves to kill to generate wood on top of that, I just can't get very far. Stumped.

Easiest way is to play Owl since they don't use wood. If you don't have the clan, there is a conquest map that forces you to not use a woodcutter, though I don't recall which clan's it is.

I don't think it works for Owl clan since they don't even have the option of building a woodcutter's lodge - at least, I've won multiple times with this clan and haven't unlocked the achievement!

Initially it was an achievement specifically for the Hounds but then they made some achievements available for any clans and now you can do it by playing any (not sure about Owl actually).

Okay, I finally got it by playing the most boring game ever - small map (and by luck a good layout), Hounds clan, and Yggdrasil victory. Ended up needing to destroy any building not a marketplace or related to food production/storage after awhile. Good think clans can't die by unhappiness.

I got it by playing the scenario Left Behind on a Conquest (I got it for the Stoat).
