Assets export, Miklagard?

Hey folk!
fairly long time player here, recently got back to playing after a long break.

Im playing with the new turtle clan, mostly conquest.
I really dont understand what the ''assets export'' tech does.
i cant get a trade route with miklagard from seaport with or without lighthouse.

Im assuming its bugged?
