Bifrost Mode is pretty straightforward.
You do as many bonus objectives as you can. You persist as long as you can in each stage to pick up bonuses. You collect lore and bonuses that will specifically help you on the final stage. Anything that lets buildings not take up a building slot is great, as is lore that boosts attack power... and obviously you'll want at least two weapon effects for all your attacks (and one upgraded watchtower for defending against waves).
Oh... and don't just rely on Eril. Best approach to Vanaheim is a HUGE warband. And don't go Leadership. Either of the other two is fine. Leadership is for when you're only using a tiny warband (which I guess you are).... but tiny warband isn't going to cut it for Extreme Vanaheim.
