Bifrost is not worth playing.

The lag was exceptionally bad and wildly inconsistent through every stage of the Bifrost run, making combat feel atrocious. We got through all of that nonsense only to have 2 players crash on the 3rd phase of the last boss after spending hours on the run (and with enough power to kill the boss no problem). We all have excellent PCs, we have no idea why this game mode chugs THIS hard. Won't be touching the game for awhile.

We had the same thing happen! 2 person multiplayer, made it to the final maybe 5% health of the boss in their 3rd phase and the game crashed.

After this, and the issues with the AI just sitting around doing absolutely nothing during conquest mode, my friend and I are done with Northgard. We got a lot of hours with it and loved it but it has deteriorated past being able to play.

I can't understand how to get past the first area... they strip so much of what makes the game fun to the point where I don't understand why play the mode. I get 6 buildings... none of my clans lore, making most unique clans, well not unique. It seems like a pretty terrible game mode honestly.

Perfect place to comment I didn't get the special villager skin for doing bifrost (on both maps) with horse clan. Didn't even get the star someone else said on a different thread. It is overall unfun to play alone

The lag is insane.
Owl's forests and Snake's Scourced Earth makes it even worse.
This game needs a performance fix for ages.
Fix your game before adding more content.

When you say you played "both maps", that implies to me you didn't play the full mini-campaign of four consecutive missions that make up a Bifröst run, so that might be the issue for you here. There's 3 missions with random realms and the 4th one is always the same, and when you beat that last one, you get both the star and the villager skin.

On a personal note, I found it quite fun to play solo after they made it so you get 2 bonuses per year instead of only one in solo, but that's probably personal preference.

Also thanks for your suggestion, I'll make my next BIfröst run Horse as well. :D
