As far as food, you know you can build one of your 1st wisdom twigs that generates +1 wheat field on any tile... so you are sort of guaranteed 1 wheat tile at some point. Not great, but sometimes you only get one food tile and it is not your type anyway (looking at Bear not getting a fish tile)
who builds more than 1 scout camp? Eagle does to get his caches and close den.
Owl depends a lot of lore Nornes can get on the map and some maps have few or even 0 lorestone (expect the one next to main tile). So it make your scaling way slower.
1 wheat field is enough for the start but late you will need 2nd (500 fame).
Looking at Bear not getting a fish tile -> Bear always have a fish tile !
