This is the only way i've found to win Titanomachy in extreme.
A couple easy fixes i can think of:
1, you can attack enemy territories your army, but defending guardians can only be damaged by other guardians. You could still over extend and not be able to retreat with your guardian, but at least your army could support him from other reinforcements.
2, allow decolonization of home tiles, instead of specifically relying on having to kill their guardian. At least the ai wouldn't be able to just hide in a corner.
Assuming any fix will take them a while, there were some other things that helped win this mission. One was a really lucky rat infestation that took out about 1/4th of their guardian's health. I also allied the elves, and a timely raid by them turned out to be just enough extra dps for me to win the final fight. Otherwise, a greater trade route's stone shipments will help on top of a marketplace. All that said, it's really not worth even trying. Overall, just an irritating waste of time.
