Also IMHO should've seen it coming. Mission 6 Svarn
First, let me thank you for your honesty and the tone you used in your post. I am glad we can have clear and critical feedback without the toxicity linked to it.
You are absolutely right; multiplayer is in a state that isn't normal as of today, and we try our best to fix it. The Lobby Finder is in great demand from the community, and we thought it was tested enough to ensure a good situation once implemented in the game.
Sadly, nothing can predict a release on a worldwide scale, and that is the reason some have no problem while others face some crashes or others.
The lag in the menu might be due to a lot of people playing during the holidays, giving the same lag that we could see previously during free week-end. Hopefully the servers have been restarted, and we hope it will solve most of the issues, but depending on where you live, you might still experience some lags.
For the other "quality of life" feedback, we are aware of most of them and are already planning on adding them to an incoming update.
I hope I answered all of your issues and feedback.

I was one of those people once... but now that I have exprienced it, I really wish you would just revert back to the old system. Even when it works, u cant mirror anymore, you have less modes available etc. ... Why not atleast do both? Give us back the old ranked lobby system and keep a fixed matchmaking - its not like northgard is an esport where that would not be a suitable option.
When are you planning on fixing the AI that's been horribly maimed with your last DLC release? More specifically, why did you choose to ignore and not comment on the AI and all of the threads pointing out how terrible the AI has become?
Thanks for your reply,
So far i haven't found a game that satisfies that itch like Northgard does. For years it's been my go to game and i really wish the best for it's development and growth. I want it to be a game that i'm proud to play and share with friends but with the recent update it's not so. I know it's not easy making games and the thousands of hours that go into developing a game can be quickly overlooked by 5 minutes of game-play (Which i can imagine is extremely demoralising for the creators of the game) but when a patch goes really bad, the game is hardly playable, there is no shame in doing a roll back. A quick apology announcement. And most importantly going back to the drawing board with a fresh mind and a good attitude after a well deserved Christmas break. It just shows that you care.
An analogy comes to mind when i think about this whole situation. So the game has seen better days and with all these issues after the latest patch it goes on sale. It's a bit like having a messy, dirty house and inviting guests over. It's a bit embarrassing for me. Northgard being the house and the new players the guests i want the house looking spotless. So hopefully there won't be a long wait before action is taken, before any long term damage is done. The current patch gets swept under the rug and we remember the mess only when the game is in it's optimal state and working better than ever.
I hope the Dev team had a wonderful christmas and i wish you all a happy new year!
Your's sincerely,
Putler.
You should probably be grateful that you had 3 million sales in the first place. Probably 95% of the games made on Steam never reach 100k. More sales = more toxicity, it's a given. Nobody minds your predatory tactic of 5$ per clan, as long as you deliver quality.
It has been 5 years so the excuse of "quality of life" is at best, something delivered way overdue. At worst, I absolutely cannot comprehend why these feedback seems to reach oblivion during these 5 years.
No shift button for action queue.
Build something with a villager doesn't send him there flying ASAP.
No hotkey for building after 20 years I still remember WC3 human build farm is B + F.
But 10 hotkeys for grouping, altho only 3 unit types. 4 hotkeys for skills but so far mostly passives.
Hold position button doesn't even exist
Shiro market this game as "RTS surviving winter".
Logically speaking if I were to survive in winter, and I need multiple buildings it would made more sense for me to have more foragers and only 1 builder, and have priority, no?
So where's the shift queue function?
And in the middle of a nasty fight if I were to have a micro management advantage it would make perfect sense for the game to not lock my actions during pop up : congratulations you have reached level 3 in guardian path, no?
At the risk of blowing your mind, after 1 hour of gameplay I already know what the benefits of level 3 guardian path, so what's the point of showing it to me everytime?
Seriously how toxic would you expect the player feedback would be if the "HIGH UPKEEP" popup in WC3 requires you to click it once and fills your screen twice as big as a town hall?
OH SORRY for the pop up, far seer is dead, you lost. Really????
And the more important popup such as idle villagers, is so small and buried between starving, sick, unhappy villagers?
Mine almost empty, no notification. Mine empty, has to destroy manually or keep paying upkeep? Have you ever seen an empty gold mine in WC3?
No options to send dying villagers to die when more will be produced at town hall FREE. Instead must heal them *super* slowly and have the entire settlement starve and unhappy?
TL/DR for God's sake why don't you just copy WC3 or SC functionality/UI/user controls given that they are the best selling proven titles?
im also hoping you launch your next MP game with a lobby finder system please! thanks
Build the thing, hit the all villagers hotkey, right click the thing. Villager "flies there ASAP".
B is the hotkey for the build menu in this game too. Did you even try it?
Try pressing X
I have no idea what this incoherent nonsense even means.
You can disable that popup in the options. Again, did you even bother trying?
This isn't Warcraft 3. The game works differently.
Turn them into Scouts or troops, or let wolves pick them off. Everyone else can figure this out.
Because this is a totally different game, and you sound like a moron.
It's not their fault you're bad at the game.
If you don't like the game, don't play it. Being an internet Karen is even more sad and pathetic than being a live one.
Suboptimal. NO I don't want a random, nearest villager to build it. The nearest villager probably needs to cut wood when it's needed, and forage when wood is not needed. I want a villager that I specify, and usually it was from the town hall area.
You saw me requesting more hotkey why would you think I don't use B key?
Brewery? Training hall? Hunter's lodge? No hotkey for any of them?
So what's the point for CTRL 1 to 10 when we only have 3 troop types?
4 hotkey for skills but everything so far are passives? Why not make it 10 aswell?
It means that if this is indeed an RTS game, the queue function is helpful and necessary for broad spectrum of situations like after build house go mine, after build silo go hunt, after spy this, go explore these ruins, but apparently the queue function is deemed not needed even after all these 5 years, or the request simply went to oblivion
Has anyone figured how to send a villager into an outside territory? Or bait a wolf into attacking my territory? Or predict which wolf will attack? Or spawn a wolf in a cleared tile?
At the risk of blowing your mind, it takes quite a long time for the scout to die while they eat food, contribute unhappiness, and take a housing space.
Usually at most, we have 3 scouts. After rats how many sick people you have?
Turning them into troops cost gold, so is it not just easier to have HEAL NO ONE button when everyone is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ starving, and heal when the time is right?
Then don't market it as RTS. Go with colony builder. So people who want a RTS won't come here complaining about the lack of controls and unit counters. Less toxic people, potentially more sales. 2 birds, 1 stone.
Because, it's not real time strategy if you can't micro to your advantage.
It's not strategy either if you're dealt garbage tile, and your opponent has great tile.
If I won chess with 15 queens and claim superiority in skills, would it make sense?
Sure why not. I think we have a solution. We play WC3, if I lose, I quit from this forum. If you lose, you quit from this forum. I'm giving you a chance to prove me that I'm a moron.
If you back out, it means that you're a coward. Pathetic.
You want respect after being disrespectful and name calling then prove it.
Otherwise I hope that other people are smarter than you to see that the frustration is directed to Shiro not randoms
It seems every new clan they rush into the game, the more the main engine breaks.
I really hate the recent delays in the notifications banners in game. Where is the QUICK BUILD hot keys?
Did I miss them in the control settings? There are no hotkeys for building besides hitting "b" ?
Northgars play like an RTS, despite not using some of the feature you might be familiar with in other RTS, the gameplay loop is similar in a lot of way but the pacing is completely different, I hope that answer everyone's concerns on the hotkeys situation
