The game is definetly fun, but it some there are some issues with this game that are existing quite long.
Also every update has the potential to break working stuff, and causing new bugs.
A few people are complaining for some performance issues aswell mainly mini-freezes & stuterring.
Coop is fine mostly , about PvP can't tell, i usually avoid toxic sweaty PvP in these days due the average behaviour of the players that can be found in PvP. But usualy in Northgard the PvP players are a bit more chilled than others PvP players from other games.
About DLC's the description of some DLC clans are old and needs to be rewritten because of recent reworks.
About the Clan it really depends on your own playstyle what you like and what you dislike
Who are you to judge? The OP didn't even say that he or she had been looking for this game for the past 5 years. What if they can't get the game going in 2 hours, and what if they miss the refund time period?
OP just asked if the game is really worth it at this point in time. People like you are the very reason why the gaming community has stepped up to the utmost level of toxicity. If you can't help, then STFU.
My goodness... kids these days...
On to the rest of this, I have all clans except Eagle and Lion so I can speak on most of them. Obviously you should view a bit of gameplay with them before actually spending the money whether that be through your own games or whatever. But, the majority of the clans are worth the money. I wouldn't recommend kraken to a new or returning player because they just had a huge change that makes it really wonky to play them but otherwise it's fine once you get used to them. The only clan I'm not sure I could ever recommend purchasing at least right now is Ox. It's tedious to play because you need to wait for so much. Your warchief is stronger but costs way more, your buildings have default 1 villager availability and you need to wait to really get your warchief going at all even after pushing him out. Poor in PvP, boring in PvE.
You will find different mechanics and play styles with each clan; some of the most notable being Squirrel, Dragon, and Rat. They're all pretty unique and while you will have favorite clans most if not all can be fun to some extent. The other content like conquest is very fun but with the recent patch extreme difficulty is genuinely impossible on some clans, although I doubt it's a problem for a new player it is something weird that might happen again. As Ragnarr Loðbrók said there are a few bugs but honestly most of them aren't that noteworthy and they don't happen very often.
The game times tend to be pretty high on average even with PvP so expect to some long gameplay. Overall a worth it buy in my eyes and most of the DLC while up for debate on whether they're perfect are definitely enjoyable.

regarding the topic. the game is interesting, but irritating as hell. the only game with worse UX I can remember is No Man's Sky. If you don't understand what I'm talking about - then buy it.
As someone who keeps to their self, I don't grief nor interact with others ingame unless it's to cooperate; i think it's silly to ban people who say hurtful things.
Thanks for the detailed info...
If I get the Viking Age Edition, then I should be getting all the content, right? Or are there any microtransactions or items to purchase? Also, will the game get any more DLC so that I can get the full bundle at a later point?
Edit: It looks like I'm correct and that Lion is in Cross of Vidar.

That bundle goes on sale a lot, and you can just rebuy it later to get the extra stuff. You only get charged for what you don't have. For example, I could buy the bundle for $1.12 right now, because the OST is the only thing I don't have.
However, once you get past the fk ups, and you relearn the changes they have implemented, its a decent game and yes I play it a lot when im tired as its an easy game to play but hard to master.
