Suggestions about Southgard/Nestria biome,neutral faction,ruins,tiles,maps and events
Neutral factions
I didn't like the reskin and rename of neutrals as the "Southerner and more civilized" cousins without a change of gameplay
Gnomes aren't Dwarves period, Gnomes have pointy red hats and have no interest of mining they are more closer to nature probably were better to replace Kobolds and leave the Dwarves alone.
Southern "civilized" Elves should be interested more in Lore than Iron and in combat should be all archers LOTR fashion instead "grey skin capped melee bandits"
(if you don't like this changes add a fairy people of some sort that add a lore bonus)
Gayants must have more skins I was disappointed there were only one skin (other than the king) especially in the Briga scenario where they were half hundred of them (all clones)
I know is hard work but some model should have variety like chain armor or some pauldrons and they should be armed by spiked mace or war club other than sword and hoping that you give Gayants Champions have a distinct look.
Giants faction had only one bonus once you lose your champion they are no useful champion should be purchased by and adeguate cost of food and krowns and why there are no female giants? (no love for snu-snu?)

Biome and Ruins and new Tiles
Wild boars and other animals like pheasants should be hunted other than deer
Various Ruins should have a Roman origin and have the featured columns, roofing, statues
Damaged House should be Ruined Villa
Ruins shold be a damaged and collapsed Forum or Roman Castellum/Watch Tower
Urdarbrunn aka Healing Fontain should be an Ruined Acqueduct or Temple
Mimirsbrunn aka Knowledge Fountain should be a Library ruin or a broken carriage full of scrolls (I was disappointed I can't use it to get a new tech with the Lion Clan)
Thor's Wrath should be renamed "Ancient Battlefield" and have objects like broken weapons, bones and roman armor, shield and insigna pieces
Naströnd aka Thorns tile should have the Sleeping Beauty threatment maybe be a different tile than unlock another one like a ruin of a castle maybe so you get wood after the clearing krowns and lore after the exploration
"The land of Cockaigne" a tile that rewards food/give food production boost
Dragon's Lair should replace Wyvern Lair and give a lot of krowns over fame
"Unicorn's" Tree a tile that give a lore based bonus or reward
Vedrfolnir should be replaced by the the Caladrius (or an Angel)
Geyser tile should be a Roman Bath ruin with a thermal spring
Shipwreck in Neustria should have the proper vessel model not the longship viking one
a Sanctuary/Church exclusive to Southern Clans a statue/a tomb/a shrine/ or religious building that give a Faith bonus or reward
"Bandit Camp" a tile of enemies that attack nearby tiles some time after they are colonized or have a chance to attack units that is passing a nearby neutral tile
or probably can replace Myrkalfar faction
"King's Castle" a tile defended by a lot of military units (Neustrian type) can be related to a certain event gives a big reward of krowns but a big malus of fame/lore after colonization
"Trade Fair" a tile that give a major boost in krown production can be used by Merchants

Events, Maps and Map Rules
"Patron Saint Feast" event who has more Faith have a reward in Food and Krowns can be related to previous Sanctuary/Church tile
"Tithe" event who give more krowns to the Church will have a reward in Faith can be related to previous Sanctuary/Church tile
"Black Plague" event like Rat Infestation but way worse one random tile "get plagued" all units inside are sick and if they leave the tile they infest other tiles
"Sword in the Stone" map can be like Odin's Glory but instead who has more fame can colonize the tile and claim the magic sword
"Corsair attack" event sea tiles of all players are invaded by enemy pirates (maybe in their start tile) those pirates are like Raven mercenaries and have a seafarer skin
"Bandit attack" or "levy" event related to a new Bandit tile levy as krowns racket
"King's draft" event who has more military units get a fame/krowns bonus/reward related to new King's castle tile
"Corvée" event who has more simple villagers has a reward in food/wood related to new King's castle tile
"Silk Road" event a certain resource is rare, gives a reward in krowns if players will trade it related to the "Trade Fair" tile
"Philosopher's Stone" event transform one of your physical resources in another one related to the "Trade Fair" tile
"Crusade" map some military units in your shipyard/harbor can be send to fight in the Holy Land who send more units wins the game
"Forgotten Knowledge" map rule there are 3 Mimirsbrunn (aka Knowledge Fountain) kind of tile
"Drought" event in summer all food production is reduced for a certain time buildings are a risk of fire
"Summer is Here" map every year there is a "Drought" event
"30 years War" map every year there is "Black Plague" event, all the neutrals are hostile
"Robin Hood" map there are a lot of Bandits camps and "Trade Fair" tiles
"Reign of Fire"map there are a lot of Dragons Lairs, who slay more wins
Undead
Draugr and Ghosts got their cheap rename/reskin
I have no idea what medieval kinda of undead can replace Valkyries
But I'm sure everyone got an idea of "a medieval zombie apocalypse map"

Gnomes almost always live underground, and value precious gems, just like Dwarf(ve)s. David the Gnome, and lawn Gnomes, are almost the only portrayal of them with the pointy red hats you refer to.

Yes probably you are right, but it depends on what place your folk legend/myth comes from,
what do you think about the rest of the stuff?

I don't have the expansion, so I don't know how they are portrayed in the story, but yes, I was disappointed that the neutrals on the Neustria map were just reskins of existing neutrals.

Given their crusader vibe, I was hoping for more medieval European mobs, like dragons, undead, and killer bunnies.
