DLC Clans

Hello everyone, I just purchased Northgard last night and have been enjoying the game. I'm mostly interested in the campaign so I was wondering if the DLC clans are worth it for someone who will probably play mostly Solo? Thanks!

If you like to do the conquests, either in co-op or solo, then they might be worth your time. I completed every conquest in co-op for example before even starting to play multiplayer. Some conquests are easier then others, I can remember having a hard time in wolf conquest. As the game and the other clans go on sale quite frequently, I would suggest you try out some basic conquests with the main clans before buying more of them and see if you like that.

The DLC clans are worth if you want more variety to the gameplay. You mostly do the same build path for everything in this game the clan bonuses are what spice up the gmae and give the gameplay vareity. Not all the clans are good tho unfortunately lmao.

I also play mostly solo, if not for the Conquest mode I would probably not get as many clans as I did though. Both additional clans and Conquest help in one game flaw (for me) that is mostly stale build order. The more weird clans and their challenges help with variety.

I would argue the horse clan is probably the one which "feels" best. Feels like a regular clan, but is somehow smoother. All the rest feel very ... specific. With game mechanics introduced exclusively and pretty central to them. And some will find this fun, some will find this jarring. It's an additional management system put onto the game.
Ox clan can also make the game feel more easy, if you can accept that every now and then you're been giving goals to go to a specific place on the map.
Note also that the AI will play the clans you bought as well. Dragon and Snake AIs can get particularly annoying.

If you ask me, i'd buy them in this order:
Horse, Ox, Squirrel, Lynx, Snake, Kraken, Dragon.
