Kobolds attacked!

I played a SP map and by chance the kobolds started almost next my town hall. I like to keep them as trading partners, so I captured the tile to block their expansion, and started trading. They attacked me twice, even though our relationship was "good". After the second attack, they didn't attack again. Glitch? Something I don't know about kobolds?
