He did say he is picky about historical accuracy, and won't play a game that doesn't depict the vikings as "historically accurate",and what I am getting at is on AOE2 the vikings have horns on their helmets where historically they never had such a helmet so if he does play AOE2 he would be a hypocrite.
Northgard is just a game, and it's not historical because my ancestours did not look like little cartoon characters, and there were no elves,no Wyverns,No Jotunns unless in mythology. So if he wants to be picky about no fishing in the ocean than get picky about Bears that can crush a temple solo,or a berzerker that can solo a whole army. None of it is historically accurate !
You cannot get everything you want, and this game does not have to be perfect to enjoy it,or have to be just like the Vikings where they wear motorcycle jackets for armour, and yes so accurate.
You will never win with being picky especially if you didn't design the game. Play another game if you don't like it.
Sick of whiners :)
So if there was a Kraken in the ocean you would still go fishing ? You know you can only have a few fishermen at a time so I am sure by the time they would catch the fish they need they would be eaten.
Would you fear a Kraken as a fisherman ?
I played AOE2 for years but nowadays i prefer to have automated birth ect like in banished.
i can be quite picky when it comes to historical correctness, but i loved AOM for example, so i have no problem with mythological stuff. (i disabled most of it in custom scenarios though)
But a Game about viking colonization, a very maritime theme, and you cannot do the most logical thing to get food? its just so un-viking.
cartoony presentation is ok, but why not have a somewhat realistic gameworld that resembles the struggle, daily life of viking settlers, for example, on iceland, northgard is more like settlers of catan, with monsters and a horned helmet on top .
but it was promoted as a survival base builder ....a banished with vikings.
(i know there is a banished mod called "the north". its pretty cool, but no conflict pf any kind)
man, if i was king...
now, back to the dishes :Q
just arrived at, for example iceland? or what are you refering to?
