sounds like ram or video card....
although it could be a developing gremlin
Arkail Feb 8, 2020 @ 9:59pm

Had some problems too with my old GTX 560 TI = noise pitching, high temperature (even with a thermal paste change)...no problem with my new card.
Weird -- what is your configuration?
PS : Damm a gremlin should be nice

it only happen in northgard
i have gtx 970 with i5-6600k and 16 gb of 3000 ram
i never had such thing before and i run the game on max settings
i don't dare to look inside my pc cuz of the damn gremlin that im not sure if it's there...
Can we please refrain from mentioning the gremlins in all discussions please, we don't want people realizing that we're using their PC's to incubate gremlins with our gremlin distribution software under the guise of a viking strategy game.

As an aside, I'm not quite sure what could be causing this, your specs exceed the requirements... May need a dust down?

I knew it...gremlins are everywhere nowadays.
Yes a good dust job in your PC and your card a lot of dust accumulates in the fan after few years. You may change the paste also if you never did it - I assume you are using it for more than 2 years so it can helps.
Make sure you don't have tension problems, if you are using overclocking check the settings...pitching can also indicate a Coil Whine problem, nothing dangerous here but can be anoying

should i bother about the paste thing ? i can ignore the noise if it's not gonna break the pc
and that's why i wrote this if it's not going to break the pc then i can live with that noise
which i cant hear when wearing headphones
