like wtf? there's no specific bonuses for women in game, so why are they mentioned as "the best...women of the known world." ???? why bother adding it to their description lol.
I also agree with this. That sentence felt incredibly forced.
It is not as if Norse mythology is void of women. Freya, Frigga and Sif are notable in their own right. On the other hand, Odin, Thor, Loki and Frey are males. That's just how the stories are.
"Loke begav sig ned til nogle dværge, der kaldtes Ivaldesønnerne, og fik dem til at smede tre kostbarheder til ham ... Da Loke havde fået skattene, viste han dem til en anden dværg, som hed Brok, og sagde: "Jeg vil vædde, at din broder Sindre ikke kan smede tre kunstværker så gode som disse; det tør jeg sætte mit hoved på"
= "Loki travelled down to some dwarves known as the sons of Ivalde and had them forge three precious objects for him ... When Loki had recived the treasures, he showed them to another dwarf known as Brok and said 'I will bet that your brother Sindre cannot craft three works of art as fine as these, I'll wager my head."

I was tempted to make a silly 'how do you know that beneath the beard there's not a female dwarf' joke - but that one is a bit overused in my opinion (I think bearded dwarven ladies should stay at home on the Discworld - though I really wouldn't dare to offend them).
Anyway, there are not exactly hordes of female bannermaidens invading Northgard - in fact there really could be more of them. I don't really get this nonsense about social justice nonsense. It is not like they turned Odin into a Queen or something silly like that.
I wouldn't have chosen a male name for a female character - but then, Jane is kind of a girl's name ... so there's precedence for such stuff ... ;) (sorry for the lame joke but I just had to make that reference)
