Patch notes v2.8.23.26062 on steam:

- Clan of the Squirrel victory has been reworked :
* Clan of the Squirrel victory meal now requires 800 Food to be prepared
* Clan of the Squirrel victory meal progression now slowly decreases when interrupted
- Clan of the Bear: renamed Shield Maiden to Skjaldmö !
- Clan of the Squirrel: relic shouldn’t protect from area effects anymore

- Localisation: plurals are missing for Russian, Polish and German
- Steam overlay not working for Linux users

Patch notes v2.8.27.26201 on steam:

- Fixed Invader Lore: it decolonizes the zone 30% faster, the description has been corrected.

- Clan of the Squirrel: Banquet of Valholl, add notification for 800 and 1000 ingredients reached.
- Clan of the Lynx:
* Tracker range has been reduced.
* Fire Arrow: Burn damage has been reduced.
* Double Shot: Second arrow deals 30% damage instead of 20%
* Feral Instinct: Trackers have 15% to create spirit and 30% against animals instead of 20% and 50%
* Spirit Animals from Oskoreia and Feral Instinct have reduced movement speed
- The reconnection system has been improved
- In multiplayer, defeated players can talk to their team as well as defeated players from the opposing team(s).
- Changed the audio when a player leaves and rejoins during a game to match the new lobby sounds.
- Better custom mods handling.
- Glory Point distribution has been tweaked. You should gain/lose approximately the same amount from game to game, with a small difference depending on some games.
- GP restriction has been changed: Wood/Stone will have 150 GP restriction, Iron/Gold 200 - GP and Gemstone/Rimesteel 300GP.
- Lobby penalties are now exclusively for ranked multiplayer
- Warrior Charge armor breach has been increased 15% instead of 10%
- Warriors should attack when they are in range even if there are other allied unit nearby
- Military Path:

Leadership
* First Level (50 XP): Bodyguard now taunts up to 3 enemy units that are attacking the warchief.
* Third Level (1500 XP): First Line of Defense bonus does not stack with multiple warchiefs.

Legions
*Third Level (1500 XP): Veterans Increase the bonus from military building upgrades by 100% instead of 50%.


Known issues:

- The reconnect button may take some time to appear
- The reconnect button may take some time to disappear once a game is over
- The notification for the quantity of Squirrel’s ingredients appears several times and displays the fame icon

- The end of the ranked season has been shortened
- GP System: The distribution of points at the end of the game has been tweaked

- Conquest reconnection button is present in the multiplayer menu
- Missing value in German for Negociator

Known issues:

- Ghost lobby still present (Ping Tymothee if you encounter it with as much information as possible, that will help us to definitively fix the issue)

For the loss of the GP you can also ping Tymothee with your in-game tag to recover any points lost.

Patch notes v2.8.37.27016 on steam:

- We have added additional security to prevent the sacred animals (Lynx Lure) from being blocked
- A player’s report button no longer disappears once they have been reported

- The ESC button opens the menu even after you have conceded
- Kobolds befriending and the purchase of territories now work as intended

Patch notes v2.9.5.27652 on steam:

The clan of the Eagle:

Carried by the winds, the agile explorers of Hraesvelg do not need to occupy a large territory, for they will readily venture outside to gather resources.

Their profound knowledge of the terrain and their ability to exploit it to its fullest allow them to survive in the most desolate areas.

They are led by Grif, the only survivor of an extinct clan.

The Warchief - GRIF

Orphaned upon the fall of their parent’s clan, Grif was adopted at a young age by the followers of Hraesvelg.

This demonstration of adaptability made them a perfect leader for the Eagle clan.

Start-with:

- The Aviaries replace the Scout Camps. They train Falconers and reveal Buried Caches on the map over time.
- Falconers gain Lore when exploring uncharted lands. They can explore Ruins, Shipwrecks, and close Wolf Dens and Draugr Tombs even outside their territory.
- You start with 1 Hawk. They turn a cleared zone into a Boneyard, providing natural resources from the zone and healing your units.
- Resources are dropped in a Loot Pouch on the zone. It can be claimed by the Eagle clan, or left for an ally clan to collect.
- Aviaries require no building slot and increase the maximum number of Hawks you can send on a Boneyard.
- The clan gains no Fame for colonizing new zones.

Fame:

- Fame 200 | Nomadic Tribe
* Clan units outside of the territory consume -30% Food and Firewood.
* Zones can be upgraded using Food.
* Houses and Military Camps in upgraded zones house +1 Pop and +1 Warband.

- Fame 500 | Scavenging
* Wolf Dens, Draugr Tombs, Ruins, and Shipwrecks can be explored a second time. Providing additional resources except Fame.

Techs:

- Sentinel

* Replace: Colonization
* Effect: Falconers can be assigned as Sentinel to a zone to increase its production, and the
attack power of units in the zone.

- Blood Eagle

* Replace: Defensive Strategy
* Effect: When a unit is attacked in a zone containing Hawks, they blind the enemy unit for 3 seconds.

- Training Field

* Replace: Feeling Safe
* Effect: For each zone without foes bordering the clan territory, the clan gains +1 Happiness.

- Rapine

* Replace: Legendary Heroes
* Effect: Decolonizing an enemy territory turns the zone into a Boneyard. Hawks collect resources from production buildings in addition to natural resources.

- Foraging

* Replace: Mining Efficiency
* Effect: Resources gained from colonizing special zones, closing Wolf Dens and Draugr Tombs are increased by 60%.

Relic - Vídópnir’s Feather

- Relic reveals a Forbidden Cache containing rare resources guarded by mythical creatures.
- For each opened Buried Cache military units gain +2% Attack Power permanently (max: +10%).
- Every time a Forbidden Cache is opened, all current military units gain +10% Attack Power until they die (max of combined bonuses: 30%).

Note

The clan is available in all game modes, and will be available in Ranked multiplayer in two weeks. A special channel is open on the Northgard server for you to provide feedback on the clan balancing so we can get the balance as close to perfect as possible for when the clan becomes available in ranked.

The clan of the Snake - Rework -

Start-with

- The clan can use Swidden Field on its zones to temporarily increase production at the cost of a reduced production afterward.
- The clan can copy knowledge of any clan they encounter.

Units

- Skirmishers
* Skirmishers can be used to attack enemy territories but they do not decolonize zones on their own.

- Signy
* Age 16: Raised by Wolves
* Signy gains Cloaked ability.
* When units are Cloaked among wild creatures, they neutralize their aggressivity toward the clan, and increase their aggressivity toward enemy clans.
* When an assault is launched by the creatures, they reveal the zone they attack.

* Age 17: Shadow of the Wild
* All military units gain Cloaked ability.

Techs:

-Black Market

* Merchants produce 20% more Kröwns.
* The clan can trade even with Factions and Clans at war against them.
* When Cloaked on a neutral faction zone, units degrade the relationship between the faction and enemy clans.

- Rapacious Exploitation

* Each zone affected by Swidden Field provides +1 Happiness to the clan (max: +3).

- Under Pressure

* Skirmishers can attack enemy production buildings to steal the resources they contain.

- Guerilla Tactics

* Each unit slayed or lost in enemy territory permanently increases all military units Attack Power by +1% (Max: 20%).
* This bonus is doubled during the first 5 seconds of combat.

General Changes

Abilities

- Shield Wall (Shield Bearer forge upgrade)

* Unit defense is increased by 40% when receiving the first attack in combat (rather than when the combat engages in the zone).

- Cloaked

* Units cloaked among wild creatures consume 50% less Food.

Buildings

- Marketplace

* It is now possible to buy the smallest amount of each resource at the Marketplace.


- Mines

* Ore extraction now functions with a gauge system. Miners increase the gauge, when full, 1 Ore is extracted at once from deposit and added to the clan resources (This is to avoid the problem of 0,5 ore being extracted from deposits, and deposits giving 14 ores total instead of 15 for example).

Neutral Factions

- Dwarves

* Dwarves when in good relations with a clan now just give one type of Ores (Stone or Iron) - randomly selected at the start of each game - The ores they sent players are extracted from the deposits on their territory. Eliminating the faction will allow a clan to colonize the zone to exploit the remaining resources.

Other

- Scouting

* There is now a maximum scouting time for a zone. On big and huge maps, time required to scout the farthest zones are thus decreased.

- Performances

* Optimized various game systems to improve multiplayer performances.

- Creative Mod

* Player names can be customized in the map editor
* Units stats are now displayed without a factor in the Northgard Editor.

- UI

* Improved the font system for 4k monitors, so all the texts are displayed nicely (it’s crisp!).
* In the multiplayer lobby, the players’ ELO are displayed correctly.
* War notifications are now clickable, and it moves the camera to where the fight happens.

- Controls

* Add a special keybind (ctrl-e) to select all military units that can go outside the player territory.

- Localization

* Improved various texts

Bugfixes

- Fixed a bug where sometimes FFA placement at the end of the game was wrong
- Fixed Navy color on the minimap
- Fixed a memory leak in the map creator
- Fixed a bug where myrkalfar raids wouldn’t launch
- Fixed a UI glitch with modded games in the multiplayer lobby
- Fixed Overwork SFX stop before the end
- Fixed IA Squirrel cook meals
- Fixed the achievements “Great explorer” is no longer validated by launching the campaign
- Fixed some localizations
- Conquest Kraken : the second bonus now works on Dystopia battle
- Conquest Squirrel : can no longer produce Krown through meal on Greed's Price battle
- Krown productions from Skald can benefit from production bonuses like Feast
- Heroes and companions are no longer consuming wood while outside their territory
- The competitive event window no longer shift when the event is finished
- When playing the squirrel clan, AI can now cook meals
- "Operative Dwarf" now mine their ore correctly
- When writing something in the multiplayer chat, the “/’ no longer opens the console.
- Reset UI scale to 1x when switching off 4k.

Known Issues

- P2P transfer issue if the Host leaves the game and there are several non-AI players
- Some french sentences are not translated
- Coop conquest: no reconnect button
- Falconers are unable to scout enemy townhalls

- Balance Eagle: Modified Grif’s attack speed and armor stats
- Reworked the buried caches spawn: They cannot spawn on inaccessible tiles, neutral territory tiles, or near enemy town halls
- Reworked the Relic: Any buried caches can become a forbidden cache that gives an attack bonus to units in the zone when opened
- Sentinel Eagle Lore: added a cooldown on the Sentinel skill to bypass the blinding exploit
- Falconers: forged falconers increases the cache’s looting speed

- Snake Lore Black Market: added a cap to negative relation (30%)

- Fixed Scout/Falconers that could not spy enemy Town Halls
- Fixed achievement “Building a what?!”: can longer be done with the Clan of the Horse

Clan of the Eagle

- The Clan of the Eagle is now available in ranked multiplayer
- Added the “finder” feature
* New Feature: Assign a key to the selected item to browse all occurrences of that item on the map.
* Example: If you click on a Cache, using CTRL + F1 will navigate through all the Caches on the map with all subsequent presses of F1.
If you want to see Caches that belong to a specific player, you can click on one of their Caches and CTRL+SHIFT+F1 will allow you to navigate through this player’s Caches with all subsequent presses of F1.

- Sentinel: Grif automatically calls a falcon and triggers the Watchkeeping effect while in combat
- Training Field: Grif gives +3 Happiness and +1 Happiness for each tile that has been cleared of foes/ennemies and/or allied tiles neighboring your clan’s territory
- Boneyard: Gives +15 resources (instead of +12) for each unit killed in that zone
- Buried Caches: amount of Food/ Wood scaled up in every Cache
- Forbidden Caches: Forbidden Caches contain more resources
- Falconers: Added an auto assign to explore Buried/ Forbidden Caches
- AI rework for the Scouts/Falconers: they will no longer be idle (no work) when they have nothing to do
- Fixed the bug that allowed two Falconers to be assigned to the same Buried/Forbidden Caches
- Fixed the Bodyguard bug which made you consume woods
- Fixed Clan of the Horse Warchief mining twice as much gemstone
- Fixed conquest map Befriend the Jotnar: the AI will no longer try to befriend the Jotnar
- Option: Added key binds for groups/finder

Known Issues:

- The Training Field lore is not translated
- Raised by Wolves: May not work all the time. A tooltip with additional information has been added. If there is no tooltip, there is still a problem.
