Hello Vikings!
We’ve recently seen a lot of feedback about the effects of the latest changes to the Marketplace on the Meta and how certain clans are now mainly played—sometimes skipping resource production entirely to only focus on producing Krowns and buying them. The changes we’ve made with the last balance patch were meant to open up new play options and to make the Marketplace and associated knowledge viable options.
That’s why we agree the effects they’ve had are unwanted and even contrary to our initial intentions, as they make those play the best options above all else and lead to less exciting ways of playing the game. But that’s also why we wanted to address this problem without simply reverting the previous changes, and that’s why we’ve taken some time to try different iterations and discuss those issues with the beta community to measure the impact of the new adjustments.
We’re now confident with the modifications we’re introducing today,
here is what changes:
Marketplace and Retail Outlet
- The resources of the Marketplace no longer refill passively. They require Merchants to be assigned to the building to accumulate those resources.
- The refill speed scales depending on how many Merchants are assigned.
- The refill speed of each resource has also been rebalanced.
- All resources stock are now limited to a maximum amount.
-Food: 300
-Wood: 200
-Stone: 10
-Iron: 5
- Resources prices have also been slightly rebalanced.
- The Seaport (evolution of the Kingdom port) resources routes (Food, Wood, Stone, and Iron) have been slightly rebalanced to match the new behavior of the Marketplace better.
- Fixed trading iron/stone giving too many kröwns
- Fixed AI issue in modded maps
- Fixed the marketplace refill speed to be slower
Known issues
- Some games with modded map may not start
Other changes for the market issue will arrive as soon as possible !

- Clan of the Rat : Fixed Shaman heal speed being affected if they were wounded

- Clan of the Lion : Fixed Lorestone not providing a production bonus in Faith and Kröwns
- Clan of the Dragon : Fixed first conquest bonus not applying on all draconic units
- Clan of the Stag : Fixed Fame boat reward not arriving by boat
- Clan of the Squirrel : Fixed Andhrimnir getting stuck in Stove during an attack
- Clan of the Raven : Fixed missing portrait for Mercenaries
- Clan of the Raven : Fixed raids not giving ressources when loading a save during a raid
- Clan of the Boar : Fixed missing free lore from Fame 200 in the end game stats
- Clan of the Boar : Fixed Hvendrung skin stats
- Clan of the Ox : Fixed Ancient Battlegrounds not being destroyed when an Ox player concede/loose
- Clan of the Ox : Fixed Losing control of Torfin after using Barricades during Ram ability
- Clan of the Eagle : Fixed Burried Caches and Forbidden caches not being destroyed when an Eagle player concede/loose
- Clan of the Eagle : Fixed max number of assigned Falconers to Wolf Dens and Draugr Tombs
- Clan of the Snake : Fixed Under pressure Lore not working on Houses
- Clan of the Snake : Fixed Surexploitation giving resources for production building
- Clan of the Lynx : Fixed Lynx lure that can’t be destroyed if built on an ally territory
- Clan of the Lynx : Fixed Sibling Rivalry giving food for both Lynx and defense bonus on the wrong lynx
- Clan of the Lynx : Fixed an issue preventing a Lynx to scout with Sharp Eye when traversing an entire tile
- Clan of the Lynx : Fixed Lynxes being attacked while scouting an enemy tile
- Kingdom : Fixed Obstruction slow debuff icon doesn't dissapearing
- Kingdom : Fixed Monk in no-work state in the conquest No Gods No Masters
- Kingdom : Fixed Mart being possible to build in the conquest Greed Price
- Kingdom : Fixed all workers passing through no-work if a tile loose Livability
- Kingdom : Fixed Hostelry on an decolonised zone still giving +1 Livability
- Kingdom : Fixed more than 3 Monks healing at once
- Fixed camera movement for multiplayer game in pause
- Fixed AI not playing on custom map
- Fixed crash in multiplayer lobby while typing some command in the chat box
- Fixed Scouts still working while Scout Camp is on fire
- Fixed crash when starting a conquest with special letter on player name
- Fixed control group not resetting correctly when using the same number
- Fixed Sailors producing Kröwns when Longship Dock were on fire
- Fixed a crash when forging while owning an enemy relic
- Fixed Scouts exploring Ruins/Shipwrecks without Scout Camps
- Fixed Dragon AI killing himself
- Fixed an order issue during the fight in the conquest Death Match
- Fixed Beyond the Sea prestige reward looping after 1000 Prestige
- Fixed killing the Warg with fire in the conquest The Great Hunt doesn’t end the mission
- Fixed AI keeping control on a Clan after a player disconnect and reconnect after AI take control of his clan
- Fixed multiple text/localization issue
- Fixed multiple UI issue
Known Issues
- Some Korean texts might be missing (still in english)
- After having negative relations with a neutral faction, befriending them will not grant the last reward

Balancing
Stoat
- Fame gains from Levy are reduced (+6 Fame max, instead of +9)
- Levies can no longer be overridden by triggering another Levy
Diplomacy
- When at 100% relation with another clan, the targeted clan receives 75% of the resources sent (was 100% before)
Lion
- Steelwork no longer requires an assigned Smith to give its bonus
- Steelwork now gives +20% Def (instead of +10% previously)
Kingdoms
- Kingdoms conquest bonuses affecting military forges have been reworked to be compatible with the new military forge system
Military Camps Upgrade
- Axe Camps / Archer Camps > Now give +5% Attack Speed
- Warrior Camps / Champion Camps > Now give +5% Attack Power
Multiplayer Ranked GPs are gonna be rolled-back to the GPs all players had at the beginning of the season.
The season will be prolonged by 26 days.
Bugfix
- Fixed winning GP when losing a ranked game
- Fixed freeze when a Sheepfold start burning after a defeat or decolonisation
- Fixed AI replacing a player when conceding/losing
- Fixed a crash when loading a save with Kobold befriended
- Fixed a crash in conquest mission Cataclysm if a Duchy was destroyed by the event
- Fixed a crash when checking skins in the treasure section
- Fixed a crash in conquest lobby when the guest leave the game

Balancing
- Reverse of the buff (+20% Def) of Steelwork Knowledge (Lion)
Bugfix:
- Fixed mining freeze issue on multiplayer games
- Diplomacy with allies now correctly starts at 0
- Fixed GP issue
Multiplayer Ranked GPs are gonna be rolled-back to the GPs all players had at the beginning of the season.

- Cross of Vidar : Mission 2 Scout can be assigned to Gayant camp to increase the relation
- Fixed Sheep not showing as assigned in the UI info
- Fixed Ferocious charge increasing damage by 130% instead of 30%

- Fixed Cultural Assimilation achievement not working if a Monk changed his job
- Fixed an issue when befriending Dwarves after colonizing a tile at their border

Corrections:
Contrary to what was specified in a previous patchnote. The camp upgrade change is at follows:
+5% Attack power for Axe Throwers / Bowman per camp upgraded
+5% Attack speed for Warriors / Champions per camp upgraded
- Fixed spectator can’t joined a started game
- Fixed Aviary giving 4 slot in Left Behind conquest mission
- Fixed Cultural assimilation achievement
- Fixed Minopoly conquest mission spawning only 1 type of deposit
- Fixed Altar of Volvinius modifying all eco duchy bonuses

Balancing
Diplomacy
- You’ll start at 10 of relation with your allies
- Scouts now generate +50% more relation when assigned to Town Halls and Neutral Faction camps
Squirrel Yggdrasil Root relic
- There is now a minimum cooldown between charms (2s)
- Charm time has been reduced (5s to 4s)
- Units lose the Squirrel Relic charm when the fight is over even with allies in the tile
Clan of the Stoat
- You can now choose to share your Levies once you unlock Mutual Effort
- Shared Levies will add a Krown upkeep during the levy based on its strength (max -6)
- Only for the Stoat, the damage of the Holy Fire relic scales with the strength of the latest - Levy and can go up to a max of 50% of the usual damage
Clan of the Lion
- Steelwork now gives +5% Defense to military units (instead of +10%)
Spectral Warrior
- 10% chance to dodge attacks (melee & ranged)
Bugfix
- Chinese server are fixed
- Clan of the Stoat fixed Knowledge from Beyond not giving faith
- Clan of the Boar fixed Handiwork not boosting Mender
- Clan of the Lion fixed Holy Fire Relic not being pickable by paladin in neutral zones
- Fixed trade in Land of Oblivion conquest mission in coop
- Fixed Mimirsbrunn not working in Land of Oblivion conquest mission
- Fixed move order from a burned tile in Cataclysm conquest mission
- Fixed Dragon AI spawning multiple Surtr
- Fixed unlimited assignation to buildings for military units
- Kingdoms fixed text overall to replace Lore by Faith
- Fixed some text
Known issues:

- Revised some points on the engine's framework (No visible changes)
- Minor visual change
The linux version of the game don't have access to the update as of now. It will be updated shortly
