OpenGL Error

Error Loading OpenGL driver.

Please make sure you have the latest drivers for your card. (I do)

GL_VERSION: 1.1.0
GL_RENDERER: GDI Generic
GL_VENDOR: Microsoft Corporation

Running windows 10 with everything up to date. What's happenening here? BG/BG2 run perfectly fine.

Same error. I also had some trouble launching Papers, Please. The FAQ leads to believe as if I don't have the latest Open GL.
But, it also mentions that Minecraft uses the latest OpenGL renderers. So it's weird because Minecraft for Windows 10 runs perfectly.
I can also run Team Fortress 2, Killing Floor, No More Room in Hell.

Here is my system.

Windows 10 64 bit
PC Model: X301A1
BIOS: X301A1.211
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B830@ 1.80 Ghz (2 CPU's), ~1.80 Ghz
RAM: 2048 Mb
Sound: Realtek High Defintion, driver version 6.00.0001.7571
Monitor: 1366x768 (32 bit) (60Hz)

CLARIFICATION: I am using an Intel HD 2000 graphics driver. Asus laptop X301A. According to Intel, the B830 PC I have a "Sandy Bridge" with "Intel® HD Graphics for 2nd Generation Intel® Processors": thus I already have the latest available driver: 15.28.24.4229
unless I hack another driver that supports HD2xxx graphics to work with your processor.

BUT I did that too and manually installing the driver fails.

SO, I wonder if there's really no solution at all?

The culprit was the Baldur.lua file missing in my documents>Planescape Torment Enhanced Edition folder.

Fixed.

Also the game couldn't save - but it was solved by allowing the torment executable to do it's job in my antivirus settings.

Probably that's why the game couldn't create files necesarry to run the game either.

SO, be careful with that if anyone has issues like this in the future!

Aqui esta la solucion solo que incompleta.
El compañero la publico en la pagina de INTEL


Hay que abrir con bloc de notas el archivo Baldur.lua y modificar un parametro, o agregarlo si no esta en la lista.

SetPrivateProfileString('Graphics','Backend','1')

Guardar y listo. Funcionara!

Si el archivo no se les crea en la instalacion. Pueden instalar el juego en otra PC y copiarlo o descargar el juego Baldur Gate EE y copiarlo desde alli.

Este problema solo lo tenemos usuarios con win10 y graficas intel hd3000

Thank you, it worked for me in Planescape Torment, had to add your line in engine.lua in the steam game folder.
