How do I spend my proficiency slots? I'm just a fighter.
I have 4 unused slots...My party is Me, Morte, and Dakkon. Dakkon just joined.

I know, I'm still pretty much in the beginning, but I'd like to be a pure fighter. The Morturary was killing me....

Thanks!

You'll need to find a trainer to spend your slots. There is one to be found in the Hive, and more later in the game who can train you to higher levels.

Never be a pure Fighter. Since you can't ever wear armor there is no point.

I strongly disagree. All three classes for TNO are equally viable, and fighter absolutely wrecks enemies. The game is well balanced around TNO not having traditional armor.

Yeah, I like being a pure fighter in these games. Partly, because resting is a pain - But hey great to hear different opinions! :steamsunny:

There are multiple ways of increasing the Nameless One's armor class. The rings, tatoos and bracelets he has access to are really strong.
That said, it does feel like the game wants you to play as a mage because there are several interactions that are available only to mage NOs.

Playing as a fighter is still fine though, especially if you just avoid combat and use your party.
Remember - Morte's Taunt is OP and if you aren't spamming it you're doing it wrong.

You totally don't need armor in this game. You can easily get to the max ac with the items you can equip in all the other slots, without even maxing out dex. Plus if you max out con, you regenerate faster than the monsters can kill you, meaning you don't need any protection at all.

He's also one of your best tanks too

Yeah, but if you're playing the game to get the max XP possible with the best outcomes possible, your stats will lend themselves best to a mage (or if you have the mod, a priest.)

You don't have to min/max this game to play it. It's entirely possible to play and enjoy the game without having an optimum build. Fighter is a fine class to choose, even if you choose a high WIS fighter.

There are many ways to play PS:T.
