How to get two level 9 spell slots

I’m about to enter the Fortress of Regrets. I don’t know if the 9th-level spells will even help much. I have two of them but only one spell slot. Playing as a Mage level 19. Currently grinding for exp. in Modron Maze and Undersigil and am bored of it but feel like I’ve come this far for the two spell slots I might as well get there.

Or you could farm Greater Glabrezu in UnderSigil until one of them drops Ring Zero https://torment.fandom.com/wiki/Ring_Zero

My favored way of farming those giant demons is to use Annah and have her hide in shadows to scout them out, and usually to backstab -> run away -> hide -> backstab -> repeat to kill them.

Perfect thanks! I haven’t had much luck finding Greater Glabrezu in Undersigil. It’s mostly Trelons and I find them to be hard to kill and low in exp. that it takes more time than it’s worth. But this is my first play through. I’ve also noticed that if I kill multiple creatures at once I only get points for a single kill.

Greater Glabrezu have a less than 1 in 3 chance of spawning, which is why it's useful to scout with Annah and avoid all the trelons. (Larval Worms die easily to Cloudkill, but you're right that trelons can be a pain.)

I've never encountered that XP bug, if you can reproduce it, you should consider submitting a bug report.

I will try it with Annah. I had dropped all my companions and was going it alone to avoid dividing up the XP. I'll do some experiments and see if I can reproduce the XP bug. I'm basing this on the fact that the message that pops up after killing several creatures shows XP for killing just one. But I should go into my stats and check if I'm actually being credited for multiple kills. In that case something like Larval Worms are a good deal.
