What to put stat points into as a mage.
Anyone have some recommendations?

Have 16 Int, 16 Wis, 12 Con and 13 Cha right now.

At least 15 CHA, the rest goes to INT and WIS when playing a mage. At least, that´s what I do. But most important stat is WIS, which gives you more exp, unlock memories and generally gives you most insight to the character.

Why 15 Charisma?

Well, that´s what I do. You might notice the description of stats changes with certain numbers(Your *** is above average, your *** is exceptional). It changes on lvl 15.

There are some dialogue options which open up when you have a good/high charisma. Haven't played for a bit so I could not name any off the top of my head.

Go with over 18 with wisdom that is my advice I did it from start of the game accepting a low cons this meant some extra HP lost whle leveling up but it was worth it... For Rp reason my conversion in the labyrthinhe of thorn didn't weleld max charisma. And I used my loyaulty to get extra strengh using a certain character.

Over 18 give you extra luck.

Then You level warrior excpet level 7 or 8 (don't remember) basicly the level where you get mage specialisation. And then level 10 oward you only level up mage this way yoru iwll have osme extra HP.
They are alot of way to perma gain intelligence/charisma/and wisdom. But you will never truly have enough I know that reunniting with my othe rme in teh final part of the game iwll make me at max charisma.
High charisma can allow you to leeave udnead nation peacefully combiend this with teh spell of freidnship and you are good.

Fun fact - int is only needed to learn spells (and of course the few dialogue options that don't have an equivalent in wis or chr) but not casting them.

Another fun fact - there's an infinite number of charms in this game that increase intelligence by 1, stack, and have a duration of like 5 or so minutes. Sure, they have a cost, but get pickpocket up to 130% you can steal an infinite amount of them. Or use rat charms to get yourself to 125% and just save after every 5-10 you steal.

You can easily play a mage with 9 int if you know what you're doing.

I have possibly played this game one too many times.

Max wisdom first in every build. More wisdom = more XP.

But I might miss out on some dialogue options...

Same as if you were playing a Thief or a Warrior. You max wisdom.

You'll miss even more if you don't

So wait dump everything into wisdom first?

Won't I miss out on other dialogue options if I'm missing other stats?

Most dialogue in the game comes from wisdom. People emphasize having lots of it because aside from the extra passive xp gain you can also trigger "memories" from certain conversations which provide huge amounts of xp.

That said, if you to want invest in other stats 15 wisdom is enough for most early memories as you'll still get the +1 to luck and a modest +8% xp gain. If you aren't playing mage it's worth it to take those 3 points you'd save from otherwise maxing wisdom and invest them in dexterity or constitution ( you need at least 14 con to start getting extra HP at level up ).

You want a base of 19 INT and 21 WISDOM, than all in Charisma (up to 20 for max gain but at least get 17/18 to cover 90% of the options) and Contitutions (for health bonus).

PlanetScape doesnt work like other DnD... if you gain constitutions boost, they are retroactive for all previous lvl.. yup.

I heard this game end in a 1on1 duel... so you need to maximize Spell throwing capacities and HP, and dialogue resolutions (which you can for almost everything). Tatoos will boost you the rest

That is literally the worst way to beat the game and gets you the worst ending
