so i wanted to become a mage, went to mebbeth she said you will need to do me a favor first, she gave me the black seed and asked me to find a herb merchant, but i can't find anyone.

thanks, after talking with the merchant i went to see mourns for trees, and completed the quest.

Glad you found him. Be glad he was not a snake :). I walked by several npc when I first played it to.

One of the different things about this game, is you may see "Merchant" or "Townsperson" and think it's generic, but they are actually NPCs who answer questions and can have quests! Any other RPG with "Townsperson" will just have them say boilerplate like, "Hello, sir."

yeah, i noticed this, sometimes i see characters walking around when i approach them i don't expect something will come out of talking with them, but it turns out they are really interesting and have a good quest.

You can get all kinds of trinkets, knives and other assorted goods by talking to anyone.

right now the hardest thing i encountered so far was the worm creatures below the clerks ward. they are really hard to kill. as for the story i need to find eccos voice so she can tell me about ravel the story is really good i'm liking it

I tip about selling items.

Save them up and sell them in stacks. Each time you sell something the price goes down. Sell the items in stacks so you get top dollar. Otherwise you will end up with 1/2 of what you could have gotten.

how far am i in the story?

Your in the very beginning. You got out of the morgue and have run around a few screens so far. Once you get to Pharod, you are maybe a 1/4 way in?

i discovered that there's a witch called ravel she is imprisoned by the lady of pain. i need to get eccos voice back so she can tell me about her. that's where am i right now.

Ahh, you are doing the Sensate quests. Have you gotten chocolate yet for someone? Figured the dresser? You are doing ok progress. Once you get to the Modron maze, that can be short time or long time. Depends on your logic skills. I personally dont care much for that area at all. Rest of game is fantastic - the maze not so much.

yeah i just looked at the map on google. im like in the middle, that's good. the first maze was easy to solve

The first maze as in the one from the Lady of Pain? I would not call that one a maze :)
You need that LoP maze for that object/s at the end.
