Dead Nation annihilation (pls no heavy spoilers)
I am playing the game for the 1st time and I've got to the Dead Nation catacombs.
The undeads want me to "submit" to their leader but I don't feel like it (This. Is. Sparta! lol )

I've discovered that this beast Morte, with 4k coins worth of healing items and gorrilla tactics can take them all out!

My question is - Is not submitting even intendent option for playing a game or you were suppose to die if you do not submit?
I am asking because I don't want to bug the game by soft/hardlocking some quests later.

You can pick pocket the key from the leader, get Proud Mary to show you a back way, or fight everything. From my memory that is all 3 ways to advance. But each path offers different XP and some choices you get far less items.

Personally, I would do their quest lines, and then decide what to do later.

Oh goodie goodie then. Well I've suspected that by not submitting you *might* be skipping a large chunk of the story and some other benefits buuuuuut...
I'm playing the lawful character (lol) and I keep the vows and promises and just can't submit to some undead king nuh-uh. Even tho that 4k of coins was supposed to be the Harlot budget...

And I usually don't do genocides like this in rpg games but this situation in Planescape reminds me that one from Fallout 2, where you get to the Vault City . I just could not stand them and that First Citizen Lynett was just the final straw. I might not be able to pass their Citizenship tests ...but... I can shoot two times in a round and I have lots of ammo to my trusty Combat Shotgun... they should've just let me use their computer lol ...they had it coming .

Just be aware, there are a couple of attached areas that all play a role in this. Its all part of the catacombs, but different sections are owned by different groups. I dont know if you would affect those quests as they involve spying etc on the group you are currently at.

I found another way to escape the Dead Nations:

Talk to the priest and do favors for him to earn his trust. Then he will speak to the Silent King on your behalf and let you go.

You can perfectly submit as a lawful character, the Dead Nations are actually quite lawful too. You will definitely miss some cool quests and bits.
