weapon procs: bugged or/and missing?
Weapons which must give you some extra abilities, like poisioning from Teeth of the Viper or life stealing from Butcherer of Innocents, do not work for me. It was a real downer with the latter, when my fighter with 10 in CON couldn't steal a single point in the Undersigil. Weapons with extra damage, Celestial Fire, seldom do this extra damage to late-game enemies, since it procs saves all the time.

Looks like Entropic Blade is the best weapon atm...

Last time i played it, a lot of the spells in the game were bugged, which prevented them from being attributed to the caster. Enemies would take extra damage from the lifesteal effect on the claws, but TNO would not receive these extra hp, because he's not considered to be the caster of the spell. What's even worse is that if the enemy dies from taking this extra spell damage, which is not attributed to TNO, you won't receive any XP for the kill either. Using certain aoe spells, like "fire and ice", for example, may result in missing out on a whole lot of XP, because half of the time the caster would not be considered a cause of the enemie's demice.

Heh, even 'enchanced' edition left many bugs intact. Pity. While simple grinding is mostly optional, it still puts constrains on how you play. Personally, I wanted a self-healing chaotic charismatic weirdo with just Ignus and Annah in party, waving the Butcher left and right :)

Well, as a matter of fact it is EE specific bug, original version worked fine in this regard.
Either way, i don't recall these claws to be particularly impressive, cause enemies that actually pose any threat deal much more damage than you can possibly lifesteal. Blood charms on the other hand are pretty cheap, and there are stores that sell them in infinite quantities, so you'd probably be better off just stacking up on those.

It might be debated. With 5 expertize and 25 STR, plus 2 from the weapon itself and min 2 base damage, it becomes very desireble, since each hit restore more health than a blood charm, Plus it's not cheap but gratis. And it's only 7 points lower damage compared to Entropy Blade, taking mean values. Well, marginally better than Siphon Knuckles. Life-stealing would've been even better than mxed CON if it worked.

Looks like I'm stuch with a hammer and Godsmen for my next LE run

I'm pretty sure that the amount of health that lifesteal is supposed to restore is fixed (1d3 - 1d4?) and does not scale with strength\proficiency bonuses.
