So much for " You can avoid any combat by talking"..
Just in 4/5 hours of gameplay I've already had to fight like, what, 4 times ? No options.
Like the quest when I have to find out why there's dead walking in the mausoleum and this mage at the end leaves me no options but to fight him.
Or this "Yellow-Finger" who claims Morte to be his skull, I tried like, every dialogue option by reloading, it is either Run or Fight .

And before you mention it, I have 18 Wis and 18 Int .
So, am I doing something wrong or .. ?

Wis and Int are not the sole stats to get through the game without combat, Cha would be the most important to bypass almost every fight in the game.

There should be only three times in the span of the game where fighting is the only way to progress.

Well, for the moment my Cha is at 13 so ..
And yeah, I just remembered, there's also this time when I entered I house, the exit was locked, I needed a "key" to open a door, the person who came, his name is something like " Vilkar", it was, again, Pay or Fight .
I was like wtf why can't I say some clever line to get me out of this ?!

Buuuut yeah, I don't really get it but I'll just keep playing .

Never understood the goal of getting through the game without fighting personally.

If you're roleplaying as a pacifist or some such then I guess it makes sense.

You can run away from most battles but there are instances or boss fights youll have to fight, so unless you find away to glitch em,doing a full pacifist run in this game isnt possible

Yeah OP I don't know who told you you can avoid ANY combat, that's certainly not true.

Well I saw this "You can avoid any combat" here on the discutions.
It wasn't exactly " ANY " combat, but it was like " By talking you'd have to fight maximum 2 times in the entire game.

But from what you're saying I guess that's not true

Huum, Role Playing .. maybe ?
I could totally say that I don't understand the goal of getting through the game just by fighting .

Guess you shouldn't rely on what you read in random people's exaggerated statements.
Technically, for the most part you're not forced to kill anyone to make progress, but this is definitely not how the game is meant to be played.

Yeah, guess you're right .
In fact it doesn't really matter, I just wanted to make that point clear, at least for those who don't own the game yet and wanted to know .

Aside from that, for the moment the game is pretty good so yeah, just to mention .

And IF I had said that people should try to get through the game JUST by fighting you might have a point, but since I didn't you're just being silly right now.

You can certainly avoid combat with yellow-finger.

I think the mausoleum is also optional.

Funny because I don't remember saying that people should try to get through it just by avoiding combats .
So am I the one being silly ? Not sure.

Just show me where I said " Everybody should attempt not the fight throught the entire game ", wow, you must either be joking or really stupid .

I'm not the one saying "gneugneu I don't understand why someone would play this way", or again, am I ?
