Has the story or dialog been altered in anyway from the original?
I was just curious if they attempted to expand upon the game and add a bunch of storyline stuff and dialogs not in the original?

I'm asking because I wasn't happy with the some of the liberties the developers took with the Baldur's Gate enhanced series and their following expansion.

I will only purchase this if they didn't do violence to the source material.
The original was a masterpiece and apart from a few graphical, UI, and/or gameplay improvements, I hope it remained untainted by any personal ideology or interpretations not found in the original..

Nope, thankfully not. Chris did touch up on some writing if I recall correctly.

bd CLAIMS that they haven't touched it, but so far no one that is actually trustworthy has pointed out any changes.

Still intend on waiting until a good sale though.

It is mentioned in the FAQ linked in the stickied post.

"What content changed between PST and PST:EE?

Planescape: Torment has a unique tone and it would be impossible to add significant content to the game without changing that voice. Besides Chris Avellone's additions and edits to the text, we haven't changed any of the original Planescape: Torment content. Gameplay aside, we've added significant quality of life improvements to the user interface of this classic game. Scroll to the bottom of this FAQ for a larger list of improvements."

Who is trustworthy? I mean, okay, list some names you would trust if they pointed them out. Names, concrete names. Not "players from around the world."

Which NAMES would you trust, if any? And if none, well, there's a problem there, is it not.

We both know which bush the rabbit is in, don't we :)

I finished the game yesterday. No changes in dialogue noticed. But I only played the game around 20 times before so don't trust my word on it.

My question exactly. I'm looking for confirmation that everything looks "clean" from somebody that isn't into SJW nonsense and doesn't believe that every RPG should have a transgender orc + non-binary talking sword romance option.

I'm extremely cautious not only because of what they did to BG, but because of public comments they made about those changes afterwards. They showed no remorse and pretty much implied they would keep doing this.

Everything looks clean.

I am not into SJW nonsense.

Feel free to tell me "Not good enough".

Examples of those "liberties"?

One of the obvious changes is that you can't ignore Morte in the first dialogue anymore.

If you're asking if Beamdog added weird new characters with broken quest-chains, the answer is "no".

Well if you want concrete names let's start with my friends and family, some if whom hated SoD and a few who felt it was fine if perhaps a little lackluster.

However honestly I'd trust a selection of random people over bd. Your quoted post removes you from that selection naturally.

Thanks, good enough. I will definitely add it to my shopping list.

There's no additional ideology (content) in PST:EE if compared to PST.

Please, check our official FAQ, especially https://www.beamdog.com/planescape_faq#13 and https://www.beamdog.com/planescape_faq#22.

I suggest watching a stream with Beamdog QA staff exlaining improvements in PST:EE, on twitch.

You know, I have a horrible feeling that I'll be 87 and confined to a retirement village, and people will still be crapping on about SoD and the trauma they allegedly suffered that time they spent all of half a minute conversing with a transgender NPC. I hope they get counselling in order to better cope with the rigours of modern life.

10 years ago in class:
What did you do to the nice teacher, you rascal?
Now:
What did the teacher do to you, pumpkin?

10 years ago in gaming:
Wow, a new game, you developers are so cool.
Now:
How dare you to put that in the game you made? I'm offended!

I don't know about you but I find the former better. Society evolved into being self-righteous and entitled to do and say everything. Mostly a bandwagon parroting.
Just my 2 cents and my own opinion.
