Report a translation problem
You can play as a Fighter, Thief, or Mage. You start as a Fighter, you have to learn Thief or Mage skills later on from special characters. There is not much variation for each of those three classes however. Like Yemeth said, INT, WIS, and CHA greatly impact dialogue, although you cannot play as a lackwit (can't reduce any attribute score below 9).
The idea of someone here having already put 40hrs in frightens me a little, and makes me wish I had this much free time to tackle my ever increasing backlogs with :O
Was envisioning a red eyed, sleep and fluid deprived addict for a second there :P
And as for tackling the backlog, I can relate. But I implore you to move this to about spot #1 ASAP! It's a fantastic game with a very interesting world to explore. Loving it so far! :)
