Remember "wisdom" folks ...
Havn´t bought it on steam, own the original. A word of advice to all of you intending on playing the game is that "wisdom" as a stat is fairly important in the game when it comes to content, some people say that up to 20% of the game can be missed without a high wisdom.

This is the only flaw I found in this game, I really don´t like games being too dependent on one stat for content unless they offer they same amount of "other" content for the other stats.

Thanks for the information. I would have never guessed that.

It's true, Wisdom is the key stat in the game, followed by Int. The way Int works is quite literal, as low Int will severely restrict your dialog options. Relatedly, not playing as a Mage probably means you miss out on up to 20% of the content as well.
(Sorry for my bad english. ) When I play Planescape: Torment I always start with 18 wisdom 18 intelligence and 12 charisma and then increasing by leveling up all these 3 stats, but wisdom is the most important. And I'm playing as mage. Other stats I leave untouched. Game is fairly simple so there is no need for tryharding and going for imba character. Story is the most important thing and intelligence + wisdom + charisma unlocks so much of bounus content. Specially wisdom. I just want to mention that if your Nameless One has a lot of wisdom: 25 ( if I remember correctly) there is one ending to be unlocked which I find personally as really cool. Just remember guys that in game there is several of choices which allow in result to gain wisdom, but I don't remember them all and I don't want to spoil anything. Damn. I need to wait for payment and then I will play Torment on steam like there is no tomorrow! For those who play it - have fun! :)

I'm just curious if the EE still allows the wisdom exploitation (as it's been called...):steamfacepalm:

Wisdom actually is really cool in Planescape. Not only does it give you better dialogue options but it also gives you an experience bonus.

The percentages for it are available here http://torment.wikia.com/wiki/Wisdom

Yea it seems kind of power gamey but I believe maxed Wisdom gives something like +35% XP. And there's no level cap in the game. Even without exploiting XP loop bugs (which I'm pretty sure don't exist in this version anyway), being a completionist and spending a decent amount of time in the few infinitely respawning dungeon crawl areas can get you a ton of XP.
Logical role-playing is not a flaw. Everyone should play a fairly high Wisdom build at some point yes, but an ignorant playthrough can be interesting and enjoyable too. If anything its only problem is that it is too significant to XP gain.

I've cleared the game multiple times, but totally forgot this. Thanks for the refresher :)
