Idling to Rule the Gods

Is my Divinity generation broken?
Hey everyone, I dont really understand how the base value for divinity conversion really works. Because right the base value is shrinking every rebirth despite the statement of it staying the same after rebirth. It was really fast in the beginning and then got down to 60.000 billion and is now down to 7.000 billion and killing gods (I just killed zeus) is not raising it anymore. Am I missing something? Because I was getting a trillion divinity a second or something like that with level 2 in my last rebirth and now it's really slow and the base value is not rising.

Divinity generation (without the divinity generator) is based on monster kills. Check the clones you have allocated to monster fights and make sure they are killing the strongest monsters they can.

It starts at 1 billion (1E9), gods from Zeus onwards increase it by 1 billion each, so it will reach 10 billion (1E10) after you killed Baal for the first time, 11 billion after P Baal 1 and so on (plus 2 for each NDC you do later in the game). This value only ever goes up, as you defeat more gods for the first time.

Each rebirth this is then multiplied by 1 + however many convert speed upgrades you have done so far that rebirth, which then gives you the figure of how much divinity of inputs you are converting per second (if you hover over the divinity/s figure and get the tooltip, this is the figure on the left of the multiplication it shows).

The second part is the combination of your multiplier - shown in brackets after the Divinity Generator title which will increase during rebirths in some cases (if you have unlocked crystals and use battle or ultimate crystals or if you have the FSM pet as he levels up each rebirth). This percentage is then multiplied with 2 + Divinity Gain upgrades you have made so far this rebirth, the result of this calculation is the right hand side of the multiplication it shows when hovering over the divinity/s figure.

Hmm, I see thank you for the information but why did I have a higher base before rebirthing? I had 14 Billion base at least and now I only have 7 billion and before the other rebirth I think I had even more. I had 2 upgrades (1 gain and 1 convert), so shouldn't I've gotten some increase instead of an downgrade? I don't really understand how I got so much divinity
Generation speed with my generator. I never fought any ultimate beings and just defeated amaterasu.

Did you have any Battle or Ultimate crystals equipped prior to rebirthing that you no longer have?

No, haven't even unlocked these things yet.

Well the levels reset on rebirth. So if you have a base of 7 billion, it increases to 14 billion after one level at converting speed and after rebirthing it goes back to 7 until you level up converting speed again.

Go to your statistics and click other. Scroll down a bit and look for the line "base div gen converting speed". You'll see a value there, and the tooltip for it should clarify that it's derived from your highest god ever defeated and your NDC completions. Mine for example says 140 billion, and it's derived as (108 - 18 + 50) x 1 billion = 140 billion. (108 is the value of my highest god defeated, P.Baal 80. The 50 is the reward from my NDCs. The -18 is because a bunch of the earlier gods don't count in this.)

That's the base, and it represents how fast value is getting drained out of the divgen's internal capacity. The "converting speed" upgrade acts as a multiplier to this speed. (Also, shadow clones assigned as workers over the value asked for by the "cap" button and up to the value asked for by the "cap max" button will grant a bonus that is also implemented as a multiplier to converting speed even though its description makes it sound like it'd be implemented somewhere else. Although I'm guessing that you're very early in the game and don't have enough clones to throw around to bother with that part of the divgen yet anyway.) The overall converting speed is displayed in the tooltip when you look at the "divinity/s" line on the divgen. (I'll repeat the phrase "in the tooltip". Your "converting speed" is not the value displayed on that "divinity/s" line. The tooltip tries to explain how that value is derived, and "converting speed" is used in that derivation.)

That value that's getting drained out of the divgen's internal capacity is getting converted into a larger value that you gain back as spendable divinity. There are several bonuses throughout the game ("divinity gain" upgrade, FSM pet, RTI, ChP, crystals (and we all get a bonus from some of the patreons as well)) that help to define this boost. The overall result of all of those bonuses is displayed in the tooltip as a single multiplier which represents "divinity per convert". The result of multiplying together "converts per second" with "divinity per convert" is the final result, your actual "divinity per second" output. That output is the value that's displayed on that "divinity/s" line on the divgen.

I just got the impression from this topic so far that you keep looking at your overall divgen output and calling that your "base speed". So I thought I'd try to take a step back and clear up what the terms mean. Hope that helps.
