Not taking credit for it but was driven crazy trying to fix the game. None of the fixes discussed on here worked for me. Download d3d8-wrapper v1.38. There will be 2 files. Open the d3d8 configuration file and in the upper left corner change the FPS limit from 0 to 60. Save changes. Cut and paste both files into the game's folder....

The game is too fast and the dialogues are getting cut off. I spent a lot of time looking for a fix but the only two I could find is limiting framerate and enabling vsync. Neither of them worked for me. Any way to deal with it?

I got brother alexie's book and the youkol relic from where it was hidden and when i got to the place where i need to use it , it had gone from my inventory so i am now stuck.
