I noticed activity on steamdb, it seems the developers want to update the game for new systems.

There is activity since the start of December, and the code branch is called dx11wrapped. I hope they make a launcher that makes playing the game on modern Windows easier.
I also hope they use the wrapper for all their old games.

Thanks for the tip.

I got Syberia 1 and 2 working by that replacement dll tip (if I remember correctly), so that was nice. Hopefully new players won't have to do much tweaking to get them to work.

I have the same problem with the old Amerzone game, btw, which I bought on a sale recently. I haven't looked into solutions and fixes for this game yet, but maybe it's relevant for that as well? Game simply don't start.

No a real catastrophe since the Amerzone remake is coming up, but it would be nice to play the original at some time.

Amerzone won't start with a 2 monitor setup.
