Maybe add a step :
Hacked units return, if you build the "Deep Control Room" in your base.
We see lot of people finding game too hard. So may be it is not the bad thing to nerf a hacker a bit. Plus it adds some gameplay.
Edit - Worst part of the game is the AP for everything. as if you field a large army, or get reenforcements for some stupid reason (always useless units at worthless times) you will never be able to use and normally just add to the hackers army to fight you or draws in more enimeies as they are now in the attack ark. I hate that I have to field an army of weak units just to not have the hackers take away any usefull troops I will need for the battle, then I also have 0 defense. would be nice if the turrets had an anti hack upgrade or something. since that would give them even more of a purpose for the early battles.
+1 to everything said above. I'm not sure i care what the exact solution is, but something needs to be done to nerf the hackers or defend against their ability. I'll be putting the game on pause until that happens or a trainer appears
To kill hackers, just start with targeting drones to double the damage on hacker for that turn, and then it is easy to kill him.
Somethimes it is a good deal still. Other oportunity is to upgrade Targeting Drones to give them ward, plus give them a protection module. They will live much longer this way. But everyone plays differently.
I've beaten the game on easy and normal and I'm a good way into the hard playthrough too. For me the biggest issue is fighting on the moon. You don't have access to drones there and so dealing with powerful units there is crazy hard. It might not be so bad if you could stack heal mods but if your unit has a regen skill in its upgrade path then equipping it with a nano module does nothing. Perhaps that is a bug?
Anyway, I'm really enjoying the game but hard is getting on my nerves :D Crazy tough. EDIT: Just realised hard gets so crazy because I'm an idiot. I never noticed the lines on the combat mission markers before that represent easy medium and hard mission status. I always wondered what it meant when the augments where attacking a territory they already owned. Now I know. They are making it stronger and that's where my first attempt at hard difficulty failed. I let them get too strong in all areas and just couldn't deal with them. The story driven missions are still very tough but the game is not impossible as I was beginning to think. My apologies for my stupidity. I will place a little blame on you devs too though as it's not very clear :D I mean I beat the game twice without noticing it :D
I feel a great quality of life update to the game would be the ability to see how many units the enemy has left and what type of units you have lost too. Would make it much easier to plan a strategy on whether to try and farm the enemy or go for the objective right away.
Also would make it easier to keep track on friendly units lost so I can decide if I'm losing too much and be able to know what I need to build to replenish them.
I also feel that when you clear a planet it should take several days before the enemy can attack there again. Currently the rate at which they attack is more then I can travel too and handle in a lot of cases.
All of this feedback is based on hard difficulty. I didn't have too many issues with the other difficulty levels but hard is very unbalanced I feel (See edit note on previous post. Hard is not that unbalanced just me missing something key).
You currently should be able to see the number of opponent units left in a hint on it's base/dropship.
Good point! We are goint to try to implement it.
Thank you for the hint about the enemy dropship. Another thing I didn't notice or missed. Much appreciated. I nearly have the game beaten on hard now. I won't spoil anything but needless to say I have the back broken on it.
Love the game and enjoying the toughness of it. Want to beat it before you patch it so I know I did it at its most difficult ;D
Thanks for the great game.
