Thanks.. I am go play it now!
5gobs of UPdate.. wow O_O
edit:
Don't know what you did, but it plays like an absolute dream for me now
Thanks!
And thank you for all performance tweaks as the smooth and fluid performance is what really makes the gameplay reach its true potential.
Take care,
RUINERS
I still have the issue, that steam cloud save is not working though. When I quit the game, it shows shortly synching, but the amount of online saved bytes is still zero.
Another thing I realized is, when I left Rengkok the cutscene didn't play any audio. Shortly before gameplay starts again, the ingame music starts as a cross-fade effect.
The quality of the ingame cutscenes are awesome, I thought they were ingame footage.
And are you still looking into the issue with mouse region on the steam controller?
If it is any help, the data Steam saves to the cloud for RUINER appears to be in
I wonder if it's somehow got corrupted or something.. if that would be the case, removing the 464060 (Ruiner's game ID) directory should force steam to re-create it and attempt syncing again I would think (though don't quote me on it!).
There is only a file named "TrophyDataFile" (no suffix) in the ~/.local/share/Steam/userdata/<YOUR USER ID>/464060/remote/ directory.
Deleting it didn't help in any way:
- I deleted the folder, it was synced again after starting and closing the game again with just the TrophyDataFile
- I deleted the folder while being ingame, hoping it would delete any online state on the next upload, but after closing the game, there was just a that single file again
In my .config/Epic/Ruiner/Saved/SaveGames/<some id>/ folder is also a TrophyDataFile.sav and a RuinerSaveSlot.sav file.Copying them manually to the remote save folder also didn't help.
So at the moment, the savegame is not synchronized between my two computers.
Any ideas?
-Multiple crashes between levels, and when using the skills interface
-Lags when using skills interface
-Enemies stuck on podiums in the last fight, so that I can't kill them
-The worst one : No text at all in the last scene, I had to go to wikipedia to understand the end (french version maybe)
Could you fix those bugs, so the experience could be perfect ?
We will check and try to fix the sync problem in the next patch. The issue with sound is fixed already.
Some top Radeon cards have a problem when using Mesa. Please try use AMDGPU newest driver for your card from the official site. https://support.amd.com/en-us/download
The worst one we will fix in next update.
Take care,
RUINERS
I bought the game now, and the first scene is without audio, and after facing the first security chief, when he is walking through the city, almost fainting, is also without audio.
What should I do? I don't know how to start Steam with STEAM_RUNTIME disabled, by the terminal says it's enabled automatically, how to proceed?

Debian 10 Testing x64.
As I understand it, the update for several fixes, including scenes without audio, has already been released.
I tried to run Steam without the runtime, with the following command:
:~$ STEAM_RUNTIME=0 steam
A dialog pops up stating that I need to install multiple 32-bit libs:
You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run:
libXtst.so.6
libXrandr.so.2
libgobject-2.0.so.0
libglib-2.0.so.0
libgio-2.0.so.0
libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
libpulse.so.0
libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0
libva.so.1
libbz2.so.1.0
libvdpau.so.1
libva.so.1
libva-x11.so.1
Well... as I'm playing in Debian 10 Testing x64, I think the distro dependency tree is quite small compared to Ubuntu, so I understand.
Until the moment, I tested "New Game" about 5 times, and the problem of the "scene without audio" happens "sometimes".
In addition, everything is working.
My thanks for the launch, the game is wonderful, I was missing a cyberpunk. Thank you!
Another one with a lost game-save & no Cloud Sync. I played a couple hrs. a day for 3 days w/no problem picking-up where I'd left off. Then, I started the game today & my 6 hrs.' progress is all gone. My Cloud Sync data says I've got 82 bytes saved. Poof!
I'm on Arch, Intel & Nvidia. All other games save fine. Could you at least tell us where the local saves are while you work on a fix? We can back them up ourselves in the meantime.
Thanks for the port, though.
