Can't select unit option with controller

My PC X-Box controller works fine for everything except for choosing between mortar and rapid fire for the 2.1 and 2.2 missions. Neither option will highlight with the controller. If I try to use the mouse the highlight will flicker but I still can't select anything. I have wood ants with mortar unlocked in the formicarium if that matters.

Im having the same problem currently as well. I spent all morning finally learning out to get to surface and now i can't select a unit option for the leafcutter ants so i can't move forward cuz there's no food

One or two more tricky issues have reared their head... we're working on them.

I love the game but can't select the ants for the 2.1 and 2.2 mission either. I would LOVE to continue playing but if this doesn't get patched, I'm refunding the game & DLC.
