potential for higher AI counts.
Since Causeway allows us to have up to 6 total colonies now *which is very nice* could the other maps support this too? Like grasslands for example shows 8 potential spots *only 4 is used and at random too because 4 is the limit for that map* but could we have 8 colonies on maps that support it? I dont know why this isnt a thing if its like a technical limit but 6 colonies seem to work very well without issues so I feel like we could handle 8. Pleasseeee this would be fun!!! *would be cool if we could have a pure AI mode too where all colonies are AI as I feel like itd be fun to just watch them.. I find it entertaining seeing how each colony takes action and reacts*

i agree with you, and a.i only would be entertaining, i been wanting pvp honestly skirmish is not very competitive and i cant understand why a game like this aint have pvp?!? its perfect for 1v1 colony battles even 2v2. a.i. dont set up their colonies like real players and usually get easily wiped out also if anything strong invades.
problem is neraly 'all' of the other maps, with exception to the Termite Maps (Drive them Back as an example) all can only support ''4' colonies, they aren't big enough to support 5, let alone '8'

they'd have to be remade from scratch to be able to fit the mounds. Causeway is a map that supports 6 but the mounds are all right next to each other, meaning a 3v3 is possible but as soon as its 1v2v1 or 1 v 1 v1 as an example, with different teams, those mounds suddenly become very close and its quite uncomfortable...

Read the pinned FAQ post on why there will be no multiplayer.

The current reason they don't is due to enemy and food spawning behaviours I believe, that would have to be updated a lot for those maps in order to support more colonies.
