How do you beat the Twins on Impossible?
With my current setup even Extreme is trivial, but on Impossible the right-side Twin takes zero damage

I know the basic strategy of getting them to infight and the advanced trick of feeding yourself to the left Twin to help it get more life, but the last 1/4 of HP the right Twin has I can't beat because I do zero damage on impossible

Assuming you have max population of ants, you split them into 2 groups and make them go out from different nest entrances if that makes sense, you do this because you want to avoid the twin from spawn camping your nest entrance making you deal no damage.

Try feeding the left twin with some workers or if you have pervasive on your fire ants, this will make the left twin gain back up, the hopefully you should have enough fire power to kill the right twin. Also what is you ant composition?

game currently closed, but I think my setup is 14 workers, 33 black ants, 50 or so shooters (mortar), 7 Majors (taunt) and 33x2 Fire Ants (Pervasive)...

I have previously beaten the mission so I have a unit cap of 175, but I just don't remember my unit counts off hand.

In retrospect I wish my shooters were rapid fires since it's just so far superior to mortar it's not even funny.

I previously wasn't using fire ants cuz I thought they double-counted against population, but they don't so... ya

you should probably get rid of black ants and replace them with majors, mortars are fine I beat it on Impossible with Mortars

Did it.

Strategy!

Make two new groups of workers, one of ONE worker and one of about 7 (7 is what I used, but it's just a group)

The group of 7 is set to non-combat and baits the right twin into combat and then is set to auto-walk to the right to intentionally get attacked by the twin.

The group of 1 goes to the left to feed the left twin. as a group of 1 it's slow enough respawning to work for the cooldown.

...

Heals alone doesn't cut it, bait along doesn't cut it - doing both works.
