Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo

Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo

different endings?
Will the branch/ending depend on the ranking you're playing?

It looks like i didnt fight the "true" final boss

After each story bit between levels there's an option to select one of two stages. I didn't realize it at first either since it just looks like flavour text for the stage.

I think its time not rank(but both are tied to eachother). When I first started I would run out fo time by the last level and go to the bear. My last run I had plenty of time, so it skipped the bear and went to the girl, who is the true boss(?). On the last level, if you get the narrartion that means you're fighitng the girl

I don't think the different stages have anything to do with getting to the girl, since I just did it on a clean save. Maybe stages change the ending? I've seen the Queen's Downfall and the one for beating the bear.
but are the choices depending on time too? I only had a choice after the first level, then i chose the forest level. After that i didn't have other choices.

How many choices did you see?

I acuatlly got to the girl on my first run(I played the disc version). So I had no choices and still got to the girl. The readme in the game folder says that things are unlock after repeated plays.

So I think if you just play it more, you'll start to see more choices. My theory is that depending on levels you choose, the ending/the story scenes will change. Not sure if that can also trigger a boss that isnt the girl or the bear.

IIRC you are not allowed to let Time drop to 0 if you wanna face TLB

I didn't realise there were selectable stages. I've been able to select a few alternate stages so far, but I think I'm missing something. Does choosing stages have something to do with the optional targets (pulsing circles) found on each boss?

So I got three endings.

I think if you waste too much time, let the timer go to 000 in stages, you face the bear. I feel pretty confident on this.

If you clear stages with time to spare, you face Veloce (Like her dialogue implies, that you're early).

I think if you select second stages in each choice with time to spare, you face Veloce, but she changes her dialogue, look, patterns, and has a more "final boss" feel. I am not sure if this is related to the choices or rank, but I think it's definitely related to the second choice in any case, as that seems to unlock when you finish the game once or a few times.

I am not sure if there are any other endings. For all I know there might be for having a super high rank. The most I got was around 200.

Yeah if you let the timer hit 000 at any point you fight the bear. What I want to know is are there multiple forms of Veloce? I remember her being a lot easier first time I cleared

There are. You'd know immediately if you're facing the tougher one because she talks about completely different stuff than usual and the ending CG is different.

I chose the first choice every time on my last run and I had a choice at stage 5. So the choices may just be pure total gameplay time based unlocks with no prereqs for the run you're in.

Granted, I had racked up loads of time.

I hope we can unlock a bear choice. After my first run, I have trouble running even close to out of time...

I did another run, first choice every time, and did not get a choice at the final battle. My performance was... nothing to be proud of.

So I am bettering the alternate Veloce ending has some sort of check on time or performance.

I think final Veloce has something to do with the highest rank you've achieved, or maybe your starting rank. Whenever I start with 100+ I get the option to face her true true form (2nd choice on entering the final stage). You know you've picked the correct one when she starts talking about things she loves instead of everyone she's killed.

First attempt, didn't even notice I could alter my starting rank, but I beat the game and got to face Veloce, was well ahead on time, but my rank was back to 000 by the end... don't know if that changes it.

I don't know if it affects the endings, but try and start the game with a very high rank (500 for instance). And watch the result. You may die before the end^^ but you'll see different patterns, different, bigger ships (the more you play, the more you can up the rank). If the game is THAT different, I dare imagine there might be a TTLB hidden somewhere with right rank dosage (and of course with a considerable amount of skills!^^)
