Game runs at half the framerate when using Xbox One controller via blutooth?
Got a weird issue, the game runs at 120+ fps when I am using my PS4 controller but trying to use my xbox one controller the game is choppy and is running at like 45 fps.

Whats the deal?

Eveyone saying it works fine for them is not stating if they are running the X1 controller via bluetooth or not. It's very possible the official dongle works fine.

Don't have a means to test his behavior atm. Can you please double check if the problem is connected to wireless connection ? Just use an USB cable for the test ?

Wired PS4, X1, and Xbox 360 works fine.

Wirless via blueooth PS4 works, X1 runs at low fps.

Wireless via Xbox 360 wireless adapter with 360 controller works fine.

Ok, thats bad. We might not have means to find out whats going on... Currently we are still working on some critical issues for quite some people so no real chance to look at this now.

Does this reduction happen in other games as well? Or is it just this one?

I'm not sure if this makes sense, but, maybe the controller "thinks" it's hooked up to an Xbox 1 during a bluetooth connection and somehow forces a drop in fps. In other words, bluetooth somehow makes your controller think the computer is an xbox 1.

Just this one as far as i have seen, i tested out a few games like rocket league, and doom and they work fine with X1 via bluetooth.

I don't try many games but darksiders 2 deathfinitive edition and Carmageddon don't have this issue. (that doesn't mean that all games works well ...)

In all honesty, I was hoping to give the devs something to work with, as I can't really be helpful here, aside from basic stuff.

Are your blueray bluetooth drivers up to date? (I keep calling it blueray in my mind, so that's what I end up typing :steamfacepalm: )

You might want to contact Microsft. Though, they'd probably tell you it's the game's/dev's fault.

Yes driver are up to date intel bluetooth Version : 19.11.1639 (last) Date : 06/10/2016
it's an intel 8260 ac with bluetooth 4.2
The xbox one controller is also in the last firmware available now (3.1.122) ...

Just bought the wireless adapter ... hope it will solve the issue ...
Tonrac 13 DIC 2016 a las 4:45 a. m.
Ok ... the issue seem to be on the Microsoft side or on intel bluetooth side ...
When using the Xbox one controller in bluetooth got the frame rate drop issue ... but if i use the official microsoft wireless adapter https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-Wireless-Adapter-Windows-one/dp/B00ZB7W4QU Then the issue goes away ... gpu usage become normal with high fps in the game... so the culprit is definitely not the game but something with the controller when he is used with unofficial bluetooth adapter like the one included in intel 8260AC ...
Microsoft sell us a dream ... the dream to use their controller without additionnal wireless adapter but with our embeded bluetooth ... but in reality it won't work well. So Xbox One controller owner, you got the solution: buy an official wireless adapter or wait for a firmware upgrade / driver update to be able to use your xbox one controller without issue on Darksiders.

I don't think its microsofts fault, its something to do with how the game handles it. I can't find a single other game that has the issue. If the game used steams controller api it would work fine.

PS4 controller with the official Sony DS4 wireless dongle for Windows paired with InputMapper, no issue maintaining 60 fps here with my Windows 10 64-bit, i5 4690, GTX 970 and 32 gigs of RAM.

Come on, you really brag about your PS4 controller in a Xbox One controller problem thread ? Really ?

Just shut up and enjoy it ;)

By the way - no need for InputMapper. You get PS4 icons in the game if you don't use the mapper.
