Once you get Ruin, there's a really good farming method. It's especially effective with the Void Walker if you can wait that long. Early on it's best not to worry about it and just play normally.
Every time you jump down this hole and climb back up, two more Riders will spawn. Just keep jumping down and climbing back up over and over again and eventually you'll have 20+ Riders riding around in a circle. Each Rider is usually worth 200+ souls so you can easily rack up thousands and thousands of souls within a few minutes. If you have the Death's Blessing enhancement, this becomes extremely trivial since the sheer volume of riders will usually end up healing you fully in a swing or two.
I've had close to 40 Riders at once but I have a pretty robust computer. YMMV.
I tested a few variations of experience gain in at least three enemies, for example, in enemy at Scalding Gallow, that with big axe, the results were these:
- Interactive Kills: 15 souls
- Without enhancements:
Chaoseater / Armageddon Blade / Scythe / Tremor Gauntlet / Gear / Wrath Abilities / Chaos Form / Block Counter / Ruin / Environment = 60 souls
The Harvester = 66 souls (+ 10%)
- Reaper Equipped:
Chaoseater (Block Counter or Ruin) / Tremor Gauntlet = 66 souls (+ 10%)
Scythe = 72 souls (+ 20%)
The Harvester = 78 souls (+ 18,18% your base value)
- Death´s Blessing Equipped:
Chaoseater (Block Counter or Ruin) / Tremor Gauntlet = 75 souls (+ 25%)
Scythe = 90 souls (+ 50%)
The Harvester = 96 souls (+ 45,45% your base value)
The hint of Atrum Ruina is excellent, and the ideal is not to have the blade of Armageddon, since it cannot equip enhancements, and in this case the ideal as he said is to equip the Death´s Blessing in Chaoseater, maximizing the souls by enemy.
The curious thing is that the bonus of the enhancements in these enemies are only half of the normal:
- Without enhancements:
"Rider without magic" = 120 souls
"Rider with magic" = 160 souls
- Reaper Equipped (+ 5% the correct would be 10%)
"Rider without magic" = 126 souls
"Rider with magic" = 168 souls
- Death´s Blessing Equipped (+12,5% the correct would be 25%)
"Rider without magic" = 135 souls
"Rider with magic" = 180 souls
Start a new game with the abyssal armor, can guarantee up to 5000 souls, because in each chest armor has 500 souls.
Yup, that popped fairly early into my farming.
Playng a Darksiders musou is also really entertaining.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, now I really want Dynasty Warriors: Darksiders...
