Hey Steam - I’m Aaron Dark, creator of HYPERDROP - A Pachinko Roguelite where you drop balls, upgrade pegs and let the neon glow and bass heavy music just wash over you.

When I found out that Devolver wanted to publish my idea I was gobsmacked. I quit my full time job that supported my family to play with pegs and balls. This is my first game as an individual, and our studio’s debut.

I’ve played video games my entire life. Since 4 I was playing Battletoads on NES and video games have been a huge part of my 36-year-old life. I feel like I’ve been playing games for so long I’ve become so incredibly aware of games telling me to press A.

This is why I picked a physics-based game to create. Every (peg) perk is just another way to manipulate the physics engine, and even I don’t have complete control of what happens. People who have playtested for me are constantly finding new ways to play, new combinations of perks. In a way, it'a a kind of sandbox that I truly am excited to see how people break the game.

I’m not a developer. I’m a professional crayon user with a love for music and a good experience. I got together a few smart people to make Dark Dark Goose and all we want to do is make games that are genuinely fun and different. We hope HYPERDROP ticks that box for you. The HYPERDROP demo is out right now. We’re launching in 2027. Until then we’ll be hard at work while keeping a pulse of the community on Discord[discord.gg], so that we’re making HYPERDROP the best it can be.
