WHAT ABOUT THIS GAME?
Anyone knows if this game is finally dead or it will have new updates? It´s not fair leave games like this "eternally"on early access with out news from the developer team,it´s not respect for the gamers and would´t be allowed act this way with out upgrades after so much time, what a shame

I bought this game several months ago but the game didn´t work right, the grafics on the screen looked blurry and it was imposible to play for me,I only could listen the sound of the game nothing else, I don´t know which was the problem with hte game so I request the reimbursement there was no other choice,it´s a pity because the game really looks great like old shoot´m ups classics of neo geo for example

The debacle over the game's soundtrack flat out took the wind out of the dev's sails. Not every indie game makes it.

Are you sure about this one, Secret Final Boss? I saw some updates from the devs this year, after the rulings. I hope they can pull this one off.

Unfortunately, not a word about DSP in that update. At least they're still developing the main Star Mazer.

True, but there was talk of it from as recent as last June (The June 18th Exeter Drydock Report 005 update visible through Ctrl-F'ing the same linked kickstarter page, to be exact) that said in no uncertain terms that DSP isn't dead. It is true that they're focussing more on the main game, but they're definitely not abandoning DSP.

That being said, I'm not really a fan of when developers talk of updates on places other than the Steam page. Consumers concerned about the state of development shouldn't have to go spelunking for that info, and posting it elsewhere kind of defeats the point of Steam's news feature.

I quickly checked the news section and there are "news" regarding sales etc. but it seems that latest update has been in NOVEMBER 2016? I must be wrong? Tell me my 10 second research is wrong

My primary concern is that the Dev never seems to comment to his fans. Outside of one defense statement I think in that thread where the issues between the current developer and the games original music composer. It would be nice if they would at least touch base.
"Hey we blah.....hit some snags....hope to have ironed out by..." anything to that effect. In the absesnce of any sort of update or assurance from the creators. I simply will not invest despite the game looking quite solid.

"For those of you who are fans of Starr Mazer: DSP, we wanted to let you know that DSP is not dead!"
- EXETER DRYDOCK REPORT 005, June 18, 2018

It's not dead, they're just focussing more on the game that DSP was originally an offshoot of.

That posting mentions that they'll be updating the DSP website page and the Steam page...neither of which has actually been updated...

Taken straight from the Starr Mazer kickstarter update from yesterday.

"Imagos has partnered with SubPixel Studios to finish development of the game, and progress is being made very quickly!"

Development is very much still under way, with a fresh new Dev team.
