What's up with the weak ending?

Really enjoyed this game. The writing really contributes to the atmosphere and I think the briefings at the start of the day are my favorite moments. Great characters. Each day brings a new surprise that kept me coming back. But this ending. Seriously? Newspaper and done. Game over. No closure. I don't understand how this could happen. Truly deflating. Thoughts?

I just finished it, and it left me wanting a lot more. Idk maybe like a day 22 that wraps up loose ends? I'm massively dissappointed that I feel like my choices didn't really change anything but some newspaper text.

yeah a little sad myself. i wanted some kind of endless mode perhaps, like how Papers please had an endless mode, i kinda just wanted to run around as the fat cop eating hotdogs and donuts.

Yup, ending was definitely the worst part of the game. The game has lot of text, and character build up until then, but ending is just sudden and doesnt give any closure to anything.
Personally I didnt need any endless mode, on contrast, I wanted the story to end properly.

The game has like 16 or so possible endings, event the main crime plot has like 5 endings itself. For obvious reasons we couldn't make all of them spectacular. Also we didn't have a preferred ending - after all it's up to the player to choose what they want. We decided to resort to feasible ending that could cover all cases the best way.

Appreciate the response. What you say makes sense, but I hope this feedback has given you insight into how to improve your games in the future. Also, it's fair to say the majority of us loved it up until this point.

I just got to the end of the game as well. I refused to switch to the motorbike division, and the newspaper at the end said I was killed by a man with a knife in a fight over a parking ticket... ^^ Kind of hilarious, but still sad that I didn't resolve the case :( .

I love that there are so many endings, can't really harp on a game because you got an ending you are not big on.. especially when there are many other endings one can get. Would be impossible to make every ending a 10/10
