Day 16 - "sniper" quest problem? [possible spoiler]

On Day 16 if you talk to the homeless sniper and give him cash, you find him in the deli and his story starts to unfold.

However, the "quest" to get him a job at the auto store doesn't work for me. There is nobody in the auto store at 617 to talk to. What am I missing?

When I chose the option to help him to get a job, there's a kid in front of the auto store. I start to talk to him first and after I can talk to the owner.

Hi there,

Can you please attach a video with the issue happening? I am not able to reproduce it on our end. After talking to a kid, Matthias is always coming out of the auto store and I can talk to him and complete the quest.
