Here are some tips that might help with the Goblin Rider battle:
1. This battle's really about managing the amount of damage dealt to James and Claire. Because James has more HP, you can use him as a sort of 'shield' when you need to take the time to build up AP or Heal yourself. But you can't use him too much otherwise it's Game Over. So it's about finding a balance between getting the Goblin to focus on you and focus on him.
2. A Strong Attack does 6-8 damage, so it's not too bad. All up, the Goblin Rider has 40 HP, so that's basically 5 Strong Attacks. Throw in a couple of Distract skills, and it's 4 Strong Attacks. That might help you know when to take a risk and when not to =)
I just played through the battle myself to test it out. I haven't played it in quite some time, so this isn't as efficient as I'd like, but here's what I did to win. Obviously the enemy commands are randomised, but hopefully it might help!
Turn 1 - Normal Attack
Turn 2 – Distract
Turn 3 – He started Charging on previous turn, so I used Defend.
Turn 4 – Weak Attack (to restore AP)
Turn 5 – Heal
Turn 6 – Weak Attack (to restore AP)
Turn 7 – Normal Attack (to restore a bit of AP while also damaging slightly)
Turn 8 – Distract
Turn 9 – Strong Attack
Turn 10 – Strong Attack
Turn 11 – Distract
Turn 12 – Strong Attack
Turn 13 – Strong Attack
Not a perfect strategy by any means haha, but I hope it gives you some ideas.
Best of luck! =D
The boss finally become a tree with head, and I have 5 other past memories helping me.
I have been fighting the boss for more than 1 hour and he does not seem to die.
Seems like he has infinite HP.
I have 4 commands, Attack, Skills, Focus, and Heal.
I don't really understand what the Focus action does.
Do I need to kill the boss in a certain way? Or should I just fight on for another hour and see if he finally die?
Thanks.
This is a simple but wonderful game, and I will write a nice review.
Thanks a lot for making such a game.
Anyway, thanks again! Hope to see you again when my next game (8-Bit Adventures 2) is released =D
