There's a lot of good reasons to dislike FPV Air Tracks. Well I would like to claim that those are gone in the new sim.

A sequel to FPV Air Tracks is in development and you can try it out now!

The sequel aims to address all the main concerns and feedback I have recieved so far.
Here's a list of those and what I have begun in the sequel to address them;

FPV Air 2 has been made from scratch without all the bloat of textures, models and other assets that make FPV Air Tracks a very large download and slow to run. The squel is very minimal to try and make sure everyone will get excelent performance, even on laptops and other low-end machines.

The input management has been completely re-done and is now based on a much better system which is able to detect and use far more usb input devices than the old one. There should not be any radios or controllers that the game will not support in this new system.

Everything about the game is being re-done from the ground up with a clean slate. So the complexity that was causing those bugs is gone and I resolve to never let them creep into this version of the game!

All the main variables that contribute to the "feel" of the flight physics have been made tweakable in thier own user friendly menu

The game now features the Betaflight calculations for rates/expo etc.
Pilots should be able to simply open the Betaflight menu in game and enter the rates they use on thier real quadcopter and see these replicated 1-to-1 in sim.

• Right click the game name on your Steam Library list and choose 'Properties'
  
• In the Properties pop-up move to the "Betas" tab
  
• In the beta passwords text box type in "secretpassword" then enter it
  
• You should now have been granted access to an invisible beta branch of the game called 'sequel' Choose this beta from your beta's dropdown list
  
• Steam should do an update which will download the files for the sequel preview and allow you to play it

You should notice on the Input tab, in the game, there are buttons for controller/radio presets. I am only able to create presets for the controllers I have access to. So if you have a radio or controller other than a TGY Evo, FALENCI or Xbox One Controller PLEASE set up your chanel/axis binds and upload a screenshot of this to Steam (by pressing F12)!
Don't forget to somehow indicate which radio these binds are for, in the screenshot comments or somewhere like that!

The engine has been updated significantly, hopefully this has solved all of the "Fatal Error" crash bugs that people were experiencing in the build before this one.
So this means the 'Learn to Fly' tutorial tracks should also work again :)

+Fixed a bug where the drone's rotors were all facing and spinning the same way. They should now be as in real life.

+ Fixed high-scores for each track not saving
+ Fixed flight recording not saving
+ Added ability for flight recording and highscores to save on "Classic" tracks
+ Fixed map chaning, this should no longer kick everyone back to the menu, all players should stay together even after a new track is loaded at the end of a race
+ Other small misc fixes

- Stick Calibration should now save
- LED colour should now also color your name when it appears on the HUD, -TAB/scoreboard, chat and other places.
- Drone light colours should now appear as the chosen color to other players in multiplayer
- Auto-level mode now saves and is functional
- Chat messages now auto-scroll when they reach the bottom of the chat panel
- Chat messages now hide automatically after 10 seconds
- Chat is now smaller
- Reset to defaults button added to settings menu
- Default rates decreased
- Maximum rates increased
- "New best lap" no longer appears after every complete lap

The SteamAPI issue has been resolved, all functionality should now be completely restored. You should be able to invite people into your game, join friends from the Steam friends list etc.

For unknown reasons, the multiplayer code which has been working for almost a year has suddenly stopped working. We are working with Steam to sort this out as quickly as possible. In the meantime I have patched the game so that all of the games functionality should not be impeded by the loss of multiplayer the way it was earlier today and yesterday.

God willing, the multiplayer will be functional again soon, hang in there

I've just added a Learn to Fly option to the main menu which features a series of training levels. I hope this will help begginers learn how to fly in an easier environment.

I've also fixed some major issues in the flight recording code which would have been reventing best lap recordings from saving or loading properly

I've just added a lap recording feature. Once you complete a track ever other time you start that same track a recorded quad will fly around matching your best run of that course. Your best laptime should also now we recorded and visible on the TAB/scoreboard menu.

It's also now possible to choose the color of your propellors
