Optic Camo doesn't work as advertised

Other than completing the whole Predator look, it doesn't do anything outside of make you look cool. I thought that this would be a god-send to help tier mode progress quicker but it doesn't seem to do that as I get detected just as quickly as if I wasn't using the camo in the first place. Working as intended or just classic Ubisoft trolling?

EDIT: Just tested as low as Arcade difficulty and it doesn't work as Ubisoft advertises it. I can get within 30 meters when standing up and 15 when prone which is the distance I can be from an enemy WITHOUT the camo. This is exactly like what happened with the Rainbow Six update: the item we get from the mission doesn't work as intended.

I would say, maybe it gave you an extra 1 or 2 meter detection leeway, and that's about it.

Also the Optic Camo is riddled with bugs, there have been times the ADS reticle would simply vanish. Sniper rifles rendered completely un-usable. Rifle scops still shows the reticle, but you won't see the scope or rifle body itself. (When it's not bugging out, you see your scope and rifle body as if you aren't cloaked)

And there have been situations where the weapon stayed cloaked when I stood up.

As per usual, spending months churning out bare minimum content, and still riddled with bug. Honestly, I feel like an Indie company can push out better, more quality filled content than this.

I just unlocked the "optic Camo" too, gutten it doesn't do anything.

Also didn't seem to get a new weapon with the season pass like with the last update.

Yeah I just tried it and snipers on the watch towers spot me just as easily as if i didn't wear any camo.

Oh well, it was too good to be true

Getting spotted up to a certain close range distance with the camo suit makes sense. It's kinda realistic to notice a chimering translusent blob moving around infront of you. But a sniper noticing from a tower? That's like findig a vapor cloud in a jungle. Haha yeah right.

I haven't had the chance to play yet. What do you need to do to get thr camo? Just finish thr mission?

But the ai teammates are invisible until they start shooting for real.

Yeah, if you're right in front of someone, it was the same in Future Soldier.

But in this game, the camo doesn't give any help

The optic camo doesn't show up on your AI teammates at all when you give them the equipment required to use it? That sucks.

Ubi cant even properly copy past code from their other game... despite all the ubi games from last 10 years are made by copy pasting code and assets from each other and turning all ubi games into variations of Assasin Cree, Far Cry 2, Splinter Cell conviction and Rainbow Six Vegas and Driver San Francisco, from which every other games in recent decade borrowed code and assets.

Found this on known issues on their forums:
[Silent Spade] Optical Camo texture issue on female character

In certain circumstances, texture issues appear on a female character while the Optical Camo is active. This does not impact the Optical Camo stealth boost.

Judging by the last line (This does not impact the Optical Camo stealth boost.) there IS supposed to be some sort of stealth boost, anyone having this problem where you do not get a stealth boost (or atleast getting spotted at the same distance) should probably report it immedietly.
